I'm not lying when i say i needed this video. I'd always been the topper of my class until 11th grade. Took science, since im a medical aspirant and started realising that i was no more the " most intelligent" one and there are people so so much better than me. That made me feel so so useless at some point. Chemistry became the scariest subject for me, i practiced so much, yet i couldn't increase my score. I kept comparing myself to other people in my class and my confidence is almost nothing rn. I'm in 12th grade right now, and i start everyday by saying "koi baat nahi dwija, ek na ek din hojayega". Its very very hard trying to build your confidence back. Even if i get 93, i'd still be cursing myself for losing those 7 marks. It's very self depreciating and it doesn't seem to change. Thank you so much for this. I thrive for academic validation yet have been average all my life. I feel like if i had spent even half of my life trying to be good at things i genuinly liked, i wouldn't have felt like a failure for most of my life.
Fun fact : after govt restricted coaching centres in Kota to admit students under class 6, neither did kids nor the coaching centres protest. Protests and complaints were from parents all over India. It sounds funny to me but this is so harsh!
Can you also make a video about how teachers in primary schools are harsh on kids who aren't academically bright? I struggled with that thrihout my childhood. I was an academically poor and irresponsible kid so my teachers used to hit me and slap me every single day of my life when i actually genuinly loved studying. It was because of my upbringing and the kind of enviornment i grew up that i was immature and childish. Even then i never picked fights with anyone or was mean to my classmates. I feel like no child under the age of 11 atleast is at all capable of deciding what kind of person they choose be. It depends of their families and I don't think it's right of teachers to hit them for anything.
No one talks about students happiness because all they see Is marks ! I am a good student in school but no one sees the real me they only see how much I score and even if in one exam I get average marks then I'm scolded and belittled that I can't do anything.... Even when I score good marks and highest in my class i don't get any satisfied I'm only doing it because of my parents' happiness and i don't feel any sense of satisfaction even after scoring the highest. No one knows what it's like to be a good student or a topper and it's definately not happiness never !! It's a big big misunderstanding....and unfortunately no one knows what I'm going through especially when in India no one even talks about mental health.

im an average student. I was a topper before covid (it ruined everything). My parents have no problem that I'm an average, but my grandparents....ahh..they are used to those so called 'A' grades. They don't like 'B'. I got 70% in my 7th finals and my brother, who was in 3rd grade that time, got 90% (even I used to get above 90 till 5th). They compared me with my brother the whole fricking day. They said 70% is not good and I'm a failure. I was in shik Shak shok like what???????? I was satisfied with my marks. Like 70% isn't bad at all. Its good! They taunted me the whole week and until I cried.
Watching this after crying over my history board exam that went quite badly makes me feel better and somewhat motivated(?) too. Thank you for the video mamagoat. 💜
I've been an average student all my school life, trying to push myself every examination. Promising myself that iss baar bohot ache se padhai kari iss baar zyada ache marks pakka aayenge but the difference in the results were often negligible. PTMs were often boring for me because I know the teacher would say the exact same things she says everytime (aur acha kar sakti hai , potential bohot hai) which is not a bad thing to say ofcourse, but it killed me and after a time after trying and trying and not succeding I thought that this was my reality as everybody says I AM JUST AVERAGE. And also when sometimes I used to get good marks I personally felt very happy and exhausted too but the people who were trying to get me to top and get good marks werent there to appreciate the hardwork and congratulate me, because for them being a "topper is the bare minimum"

I am someone who used to get really very good marks before corona happened i have now become an average student. From being one of the toppers to just getting passing marks 🥲🥲 but i am glad my parents are not pushing me for becoming a Topper again❤ i am very lucky to have parents like them.
