Its ironic coz his ex girlfriend deepika padukone is a outspoken activist for mental health awareness. Sure some might say its a pr stunt and maybe it was but her campaign actually did helping in destigmatizing depression and other mental health diseases which is a big deal in a country like india. Anyways it's high time we put these undeserving celebrities on a pedastal ,not just bollywood but any celebrity for that matter . Celebrity culture is quite toxic and manipulative and 3/4 of them doesn't possess the intellect to talk on topics like this .
Most therapists I’ve seen approach clients as though we’re in America. Most of the things they say don’t really apply to Indian households. I think I understand what’s he trying to say here. Let’s not pretend that therapy is inexpensive and accessible and most people rarely get the right kind of help. As a psychology major, I’m disappointed with what they teach at these schools and colleges. Also, I think he’s a little lazy to put in effort which must’ve made it hard to open up. At the end of the day, therapy is a difficult process and we have to put in a lot of effort.
If he isn't able to connect or explain himself to the therapist..then no therapist can force him to do so. It's completely his problem, and without overcoming this problem he can't find any solution. It is necessary to explain yourself to someone whom you trust, it can be a therapist, your parents, siblings or loved ones... It is important to open yourself..and you can do it in your diary also, once you write something you can go back to that page after some days to analyse yourself and how you overcome that problem, is it the right process or not..that's you to analyse. And Ranbir Kapoor... I don't think anyone can understand him with these types of talks....because that therapist is not there to tell you how to manipulate your life..simple.
The problem is India or you could say Indian society doesn't really pay attention to mental health that is why Psychology as a career in India can sometimes have a lot of disadvantages [ I know everything has pros and cons ] But thankfully this field as a Job is sky rocketing nowadays so I hope people would see Psychologist more often than before ....
Of course, I stand against men who spread misogyny, hatred, or have committed terrible acts against women. I also stand against women who support patriarchy and have outdated views on women's lifestyles. But have you ever stood up against those who believe all men are trash or those who have falsely accused men of rape, ruining their lives? Not all men are good, but are all women good ? If not, why don't you ever talk about them? Are you targeting only one gender, which has weaker mental health on average? Isn't this misandry ?
"Not all men" is actually an obvious statement and hence irrelevant in these conversations, unless a women is definitively stating "All men are bad", which does happen and is wrong. What women experience in their daily lives gives them the right to vent their frustration and basically not trust any strange man, this is a sad reality. On the other hand, when men hear women constantly stating how terrible men are(based on their experiences which we never face) it just feels bad to hear it. But at the end of the day the fear in which women have to live in is far worse, so we men can back down on this and just try to be understanding, and stand up when we see these creeps. Its good women and good men vs the creeps.
Sure but that's what the person is saying , just coz his therapist is like that doesn't mean all therapist are like that. And yes he has the right to voice his opinion but when he address sensitive issues like this in public he should be more careful esp in India where mental health is very stigmatized . A diehard fan of his who needs therapy or treatment for a mental illness may not seek help coz of this . Sry if I sound aggressive in the comment, it isn't directed to you . Have a good day.
Like literally bollywood doesn't have knowledge about mental health issues and what is the work of professionals in the field more over, every treatment takes time even a medicine takes time to cure the disease same therapy require time to work to treat me psychological issues
heyy di , i have not even watched half of the video yet and i really cannot keep this to myself because right now i have taken admission in a college near my house for BA in psychology and the way your story and mine collide is just mind blowinggg . I also , just like you was a part of the first ever batch of psychology in my school , not as smart as you though , but i did feel like it is a subject for me . And then , my mother told me about the university i took admission in , where i did not want to go btwww , and we just went to have a tour cuz my mother asked me on the day o my first CUET exam and the momemnt i stepped in , I LOVED IT !!! i can't believe it is so similar ...... so yeah just wanted to let you know... and i love your ideas and comments on every patriarchal and controversial topic , you're amazing

I lost him when he started talking about manipulating life....what is manipulation of life anyway? Its not like life is a person you can trick lol He could have just said that the therapist he went to wasn't very helpful to him and that would have been fine like she said not every therapist will be good fit for you.Its disappointing he said stuff like this when a million people follow him and are influenced by him.
@@awkwardgoat3 He had no control of how the post edit movie would come out as, he was playing a character and actors are allowed to play flawed characters according to my understanding. It's their job to portray characters, don't burden them with the society's moral responsibility.

As said by someone in the comments before; Not all men but literally each and every woman has tremendously terrifying, creepy stories. And now knowing these stories feels so 'normal'. Not a big deal kinda. While the few incidents with male victims that are equally terrifying get the extraordinary of our attention. Though the point to take from your vid and my belief too is that not all men are bad but also not all men are nice. Humans you know. I am 14 and I have such 'stories'. P.S. look up 44 days of hell and you'll know the creepiness and why feminism is such a thing.
Love this, don’t know how long it’ll take for these “not all men” people to understand such a basic concept. At this point I’m so annoyed at making this point when I come across these people, but your delivery is a much better way to approach people like them❤
As a man, even I hesitate saying not all men not because I think all men are bad but I just know so many who are... and they fucking terrify me sometimes. Being a woman in India is truly a tough deal yaar, everyone be safe!

I agree, but i think it's: Depression is a choice as a mindset, not as an actual debate. It's far better for one (without depression issues anyways) to think like that to have better control over their mind, and if believing in scientifically false facts can get the job done, it gets the job done I get it's very disrespectful to say it outloud and most likely this person you mentioned might either 1. Want some internet fame or 2. Want to preach a good mindset, but it's also important to understand both sides to the story and not immediately get offended ok thats all cheers and wish you all the best 👍
