being Digital engineering (data science) student from last 2 semester at ovgu Magdeburg and 3 years of IT (Accenture , EY , Huawei) working experience in which i worked with mostly Americans , Canadians ,sometimes Germans. i can conclude few things which i observed working with different countries student. PS : we have team project and collaboration work more than any other course and department in the uni. almost everything requires group formation. - German students are punctual , very serious about their responsibilities and no messing around with the studies. same goes for professor. - about indians , if you get lucky you get someone serious student in the team ..otherwise mostly its ugly politics and irresponsibility in the uni and at workplace as well. Pakistani students are not so different from indians as well. - Chinese are more towards over conscious about their privacy and data , i observed that in Huawei. !!!Hope this helps !!!!!
@amit kumar I am considering OVGU as well for data science, I currently have 6 years of exp, I have gone through all the requirements of the program, but need a general information about the chances of getting the admission. Can you please shed some light to it ?
Dude I am so glad u are admitting this. I am surrounded by Indians, Pakistani and Bangladeshi students in my program. Most of them are so lazy and they have somehow convinced themselves that they are great. They mention Pichar and Nadella, well they are great but most Indians ARE NOT. They do the bare minimum to pass and sometimes just hang onto other people's work in a group to get free credit. There are a few exceptional geniuses I gotta admit, but when u have over a BILLION people of course u will find some outliers. It's great that u are calling ur own people out. They do not need help, they need a kick in the butt.
Erick this is coz the Engg education system here doesn't have much like group work and presentations. We r mainly assessed based on internals (short mid term exam like we have 2-3 per sem) and an main exam. This is common throughout India in all states. So coming to MSc and directly exposed to much tougher standards in system and things like assessment based on presentations is first of all a shock to many of us. But I do agree majority carry a sense of pride over their grades which doesn't count much in Germany coz real practical problems r different than acing exams.
Lol. I started a course here in Hamburg. It's a German taught program and in my whole faculty, there is hardly any other foreigner. 😂 So I totally understand this. Dayum it's tough to leave those Indian habits. Discipline learn must I.👽
@@Rahul-ur3jy well yeah. But not like in India. I have a lot of study buddies. We meet regularly for project works and assignments and stuff. But after that it's pretty much done with. Also sometimes language barrier also does stand up as my German is not as fluent to buddy-up with people so easily.
@@wxyzz sort of the same as if they were in English. But imho, i think its much better in the german courses. Professors are more responsive. And they share their knowledge +experience. Plus you network more with a better crowd. In english courses, you'll mostly fond other foreigners who have exactly the same idea of what to do as you yourself, cause mostly everyone is an international student themselves. Some of my friends really did help me a lot studying for my exams. But now when i look at it, it went great.
@@om7866 wow that was great of you thanks for replying. How's your life now in Germany. I'm thinking of doing my masters in Germany and currently learning German on Duolingo. How are the job opportunities after Masters in Management (MIM). Being a ME which field should i consider for masters for better job opportunities please guide since you studied there.
Tbh, I hate the way people show up late in India, and this is not the case with study appointments or meetings, this happens in informal gatherings too. If you are supposed to show up at 6 o clock, show up at 6 o clock. And the worst thing is that this culture is being glorified nowadays. You are considered “Cool” if you show up late, if you have been busy with something else. I myself consider the “Being before time is being on time, being on time is late” rule very seriously. Respect others’ time, that is when others will consider respecting your time. As always, I feel at comfort watching your videos, please keep the content coming Bharat 😃
Hi Bharat I’m an international student in America, but honestly prices for international students are ridiculous specially if you are in a city like New York. I’m going to have an associates degree soon, do you think I can transfer my credits to get my bachelors in Germany? Thank you so much for your response I really enjoy your videos
Sir,I am 2019 btech passout and I had 17 backlogs which I have cleared .Do history of backlogs will affect to pursue my MS in a German public university?
Can you please share more about the difference between German taught and English taught programs? If it's German taught,do we have to read and write everything in Germany?
Last night I was actually talking to my friend who just moved to Germany for his masters, and he told me these same problems he is facing. We are from Pakistan, Pakistanis and indians are not different in problems. Thanks for sharing this problem to everyone. 🙂
Great nuggets of advice you have packaged in this video Bharat! They are priceless for anyone coming to study or even work in Germany. Thanks so much for sharing.
