I worked with a lady from Finland at a newspaper for numerous years and she was way cool and made me want to go visit there. I like the dude who is your guide seems like a cool dude. Loving the Finland trip! Every Finn I have known was genuine, warm, and slight crazy in the best way. And this looked like a pretty solid challenge - one of those where I think "I could probably put a good dent in that..." but then I realize that the burger alone would probably put me out of commission.

Why am I so compelled to watch this man. Its wrong the amount of Joy I get from his videos. Theres something about his personality and editing style that makes him so much better to watch.

I've just realized the reason I like you're channel. You enjoy being told you can't do it, and you like proving them wrong. You play humble, and you've faced humility. But yet you know you can do it. 08:50 That's what I always thought about the Moomin soda, finally someone agrees. I remember describing it like that to friends as a kid and they were always confused. It's a pretty universally liked soda in Finland, I think that's why they asked for an opinion. Also, the Smurf soda used to be green in the 90s and 2000s, likely in order to connect with the flavor, which was pear. I didn't know it has made a blue comeback or if it still tastes the same. Both of those sodas were always only available in small bottles, which made them feel more "luxurious," but 10-14 years ago they did start selling Moomin in big bottles - I think that failed since I don't see those anymore. Anyway, seems like a cool place, will keep it in mind in case I travel near Porvoo.

Another entertaining clip from Beard! A great ambassador for England, always polite & respectful wherever he goes. Good to see him in Finland, a country not many of us know much about. I know it was settled by Hungarian immigrants a few hundred years ago & with a mix of Hungarians & indigenous Finnish, it's become a unique culture, neither Scandinavian or Baltic! I have great respect for the Finns, a peaceful nation & a fair nation. They have passed laws to provide everyone, whether unemployed or working full-time with the same average benefits payments. It means those who have behaved responsibly with money throughout their lives, saved before they bought, worked full time etc will not be forced to pay for those irresponsible people who do not work or fritter their wages away each week.

I always fly through Finland on my way to Greece, that’s my only experience with the people- and I know the airport & airport hotel is not the perfect exemplary of the population, but I always described them as the weirdest nice people ever lol. They were all very intimidating to me, looked mean, acted slightly socially awkward, but then were always unexpectedly nice lol.

Got a little scared when you didn't know what Moomin was, and then proceeded to ask if they were hippos! x'D Moomin are literally Moomin Trolls. That is their species. The Moomins and their author Tove Jansson is like a national treasure of Finland that everyone knows about, and even us Swedes grew up with. The books were serialized as an Anime in Japan, and translated to a bunch of languages, one of them English. :)
