I always find the concept of playing as some sort of hive mind infection parasite instead of fighting against one interesting, I’m probably gonna play this myself
i dont know if you can even "beat" the mod, like i played with a friend with that mod and NTM(Nuclear Tech Mod) bro i needed 2 fucking nuclear bombs for just a single beckon phase IV
Singleplayer is kinda not fullfilling without something actively tryng to stop your infection spree, like a whole organization similar to the scp organization that knows counters to every parasite EXCEPT you cause your a newer kind of evolution with its own conciousness, making you unpredictable instead of being a puppet of the hive with little freedom. Edit: Custom NPCs with modern warfare addons as enemies work great with this btw.
This can usually be partially remedied with a catered modlist, but i understand the concern. Cotesia does have features meant to make mobs much more dangerous, but those are mostly disabled by default via the config. Armageddon and features under its umbrella are being fleshed out a bit next update, but i am very busy atm so it will take a while.
@@jargon1373 nice to know it's being fleshed out, love the mod, single player can be a bit boring but multi player is hella fun, hope to see this new feature in action in the near future, and take your time, a more fleshed out version of it is better than a hurried release one.
Honestly I used this same mod while making a modpack for a server and I ended up being underground with turrets above ground but the parasite players ended up working together and put down the torchs that spawn only parasites and then they ended up being able to break through the ground with the help of a phase 3 creature
already saw the whole live it was great, we need 8 player parasites with a possible 4v4, human players vs parasite players, or something like one random parasite imposter
50 Parasite players vs 50 Parasite players or a 100 players and 5 random guys get the parasite book the "change form" thing would be neat to pretend they aint infected tbh
in the next level up you'll gain an ability witch you can only use when you are not hiding you presence as a parasite i alredy played with it its a nice mod
ive been trying to play the mod, but each time i try to load the mod (with the other mods required) it just doesn't load, like the game starts up but the modded content just isnt there what do i do?
Love the idea of this mod, with all this parasite mods I'm always like "why should i play the human survivor, i wanna be the monster", and this rembers me a bit of vampirism with your actual model changing and beign able to play as the monster
Imagine something like this but with the from another world mod. You could do a sort of 1 v 3 manhunt where the alien tries to stop the other players while also infecting the world.
a cool video idea would be like among us where its like a normal run of parasites but 1 person is a parasite and that player is triying to sabotage the other players and the other players will try to figure out who it is
