My wife and I are 82, She is in last stages of alzheimer's and I am close to leaving this earth. We look forward with hope of being together forever. We were sealed in the Holy Temple in Salt Lake City, what a joy we have with the Restoration of the Church with the Fulness of the Gospel. I was a former Baptist Minister, I was blind but now I see. Thank you.
Really?!?! Is this the appropriate place for Mormon propaganda? How about praising the brilliant musicianship and tremendous hard work exhibited by these students. My sincerest sympathies and best wishes for your wife. But, like too many geezers, it's obvious that, in your world, it's all about you--and you should be ashamed for using your wife's struggles to elicit sympathy. Celebrate your faith. Stand on the promises of God. Leave the propaganda at the church (temple) door.
@@randellfranklynbusby2334 Well i don't think of myself as a geezer and I take good care of my wife as I love her and look forward to spending eternity with her. But you will be a geezer soon enough as it happens to us all if we live long enough. I am the Seminole Ward organist and have been for 51 years, the 1st hymn I play as prelude for Sacrament meeting every Sunday is "If You Could High To Kolob" I love it and yes I feel the love and faith that is written therein, Thank you for your reply. but I never need anyone's sympathy I work for all I have and am able to do with Gods help. My wife is a total invalid and I cut her hair, clean and cut her fingernails and toenails and will do whatever she needs if the nursing home doesn't do it. Love you all
This video was inspired by a member of our orchestra who lost his father that year due to cancer. The students all really, REALLY wanted to do something to comfort him.
whoever dislikes this video doesnt know what beautiful music sounds like or is probably just hating..this is so beautiful..got goosebumps watching this..im a Ghanaian violinist and a mormon and trust me ive never seen an orchestra play anything this beautiful. God bless you all for coming up with this lovely rendition of this song
thank you! I was a little puzzled about who would take the time to dislike youth trying to inspire others. I guess there are always those who don't care for religious messages. Hopefully, it reaches those who need it most. That's all we care about!
I think that this one of the most absolutely beautifull songs I have ever heard I just absualutley love the stories that music can truly bring too life .
how comforting it is to know that we will live again, and our loved ones will also live again❤ love this orchestra, love this video, love this song, love this gospel
After a long day plus studying past midnight, I was notified that this video was out. This was just what I needed to end my day with some needed comfort. I love the message that no matter what trials others or I am going through, Christ is always there for me if I ask for him.
Dawn Mosley we are so moved by his life and sacrifice. Joseph was lucky to have a father and example like Rand. we are so grateful that you feel this is a worthy gift for the family. We certainly think a lot of Joseph
I love that even though people can't see all the work and spiritual preparation that go into these recordings, the Spirit that comes with watching this video is definite and powerful.
This group is outstanding! One of the most beloved hymns ever. William W. Phelps wrote the lyrics to this beautiful hymn. Thought provoking. His history is amazing. His accomplishments in this life were exemplary.
I loved making this video with of the other instrumentalists in this orchestra. Thanks for the amazing opportunity Kayson! Also, that recording retreat was a blast:)
As a fellow musician I should be judging but I have found it very hard they blend there sound to make it as one, how musical they play it moves you. What a outstanding orchestra this is. The piece they are playing is beautiful if I where a judge I would be giving them a superior.
.........behold the glory of the Most High and our Heavenly Mothers, the Son of Righteousness, his 24 Apostles, and all the prophets for the last 432,000 years......I bear witness....Gary Hinchman....
Absolutely gorgeously done! I gotta say, I half expected you to “Hie to Kolob” for this video’s scenery. You were almost there in the “What a Wonderful World“ video!
I really enjoyed recording this piece particularly, not just because of the sweet picture I got of all the double basses standing up on their own in the soft ground, but also because of the flood of inspiration that comes when I see the beautiful location mixed with the beautiful music.
I wish I had been able to be a part of this ensemble when we recorded this! This is such a beautiful work, and truly invites the Spirit when listening.
A beautiful arrangement and inspiring performance by a Youth Orchestra, probably with many active Latter-day Saints -- hope that you enjoy the music and video. As for me, I enjoyed listening to the thrilling sound and the wonderful visual photography.
So glad you found us! This piece was dedicated to a student in the orchestra who lost his father just a few weeks before. It was one of the most emotional and moving experiences we've had. So glad at least some of it came through!
@@randellfranklynbusby2334 Of course, it's not strictly a Mormon school. I was just making the guess that many are probably Latter-day Saints -- given the demographics of the region. Whether or not this is propaganda, is subject to interpretation.
True, however this tune likely wouldn't be known to the LDS community without Vaughn Williams' & W. W> Phelps' work. Just seems like they deserve a mention, in my opinion.
@@Wotsitorlabart Totally, and we love performing that work. It's actually the first video I ever made (on a different channel). We just didn't credit RVW on this video because this version is based on the original folk tune and has original melodies. While I think every modern version of this folk song is influenced to some degree by the brilliant RVW, it isn't his music so to put his name on it would not be fair to him. Hope you enjoy it. It's maybe the only full orchestra version I'm aware of!
The Moroni Christian Gospel. A new revelation of Jesus Christ adding to the Word of God with a new spirit and new dimension of faith outside of the Original Biblical Revelation.
