I think if you put the link in the description, it's clickable, but youtube does like to change things... Also, for those of us not in the US, the book name would be helpful 😊
@@PostImperfectIf you like/thumbs up the video (or add it to a playlist) and then open it from your Liked Videos (or the playlist you added it to), it will open up like a regular long-form video instead of a short, and then you can click on the link from the comments. (I learned this from someone in a comments section a while back, and it's saved me a lot of extra steps of screenshotting and copying and pasting, so I hope it helps you.) The book title is Nutrient Matters: 50 Simple Whole Food Recipes and Comfort Foods, by Sara Abdul-Aziz. Searching for "Nutrient Matters cookbook" should lead you right to it.
That's what I was thinking too! In my grandparents household, my grandmother always saved the gravy to drizzle over the meat or even over the potatoes or rice that we would eat with the meals
If you don't like vegetables, you're probably eating them wrong. Growing up, my mother and grandmother always boiled their veggies. Once I moved out and started cooking more... I found vegetables to be delicious when roasted, air fried, etc.
When eating this don't forget to put the gravy much better with it i have no idea why so many westerners making this type of recipes don't put the gravy so much better
blanching is to boil a veggie in a little water for only a small amount of time to preserve all the flavor and nutrients of the vegetables since regular boiling will get rid of most the nutrients. Someone pls correct me if I’m wrong I don’t perfectly remember the directions
Yupp being doing that since I was 12 or so. I’m 35 now and I’ve perfected my chicken recipes over the years!!!! I love food. I’ve considered turning my channel into a cooking channel. My friends and family tell me that I need to open me up a restaurant or at least have a food truck. I’m thinking about it..
Really fresh asparagus has a gentle succulent sweetness AND a lively wheatgrass complexity AND a backbone of umami that not-quite-as-fresh asparagus simply does not. And like, honestly, the differences are more delicate and subtle than, say, the night-and-day gap between nice heirloom tomatoes and standard supermarket tomatoes, but maaaan… it’s 100% worth catching it in-season if you can!!
I had an idea you had to cookbook. Your recipes are amazing and I didn’t realize you could blanch vegetables to help get rid of bitterness. Thank you!❤
I would also recommend going to fruit and veg shops/ farmers markets! The fruit and veg has so much more flavour. Where I live fruit and veg shops are cheaper than super markets because they always have great deals
Not everywhere has access to farmers markets sadly (I have to drive two counties over to find one, and once there its basically Antwhal and Candy's experience. Overpriced goods sadly :/ )
A tip that made me love asparagus. Break off the ends by bending them, the parts that's going to be really woody and rough will snap off easily and the rest of it will be tender and have good texture. I used to gag when I'd eat them because of that awful part
Guessing the recipe: Blanched Asparagus with Olive oil, garlic, pecorino Romano, then air fried Marinated chicken with tumeric, garlic, lemon, salt, pepper, parsley. (Just a guess) Bake chicken until 50% cooked in a pan with rosemary, then transfer to wire rack to finish cooking and crisp up
Sara is this you speaking and cooking? I need some help with cooking. I'm a single male on farm and decided to make some changes in my life. One is eating and cooking. Will you help? Kudu
That actually looks really good! I normally don’t comment on peoples cooking because obviously I’m the best cook 👩🍳 😂 but I’m going to cook this tonite or tmrw! 💃
As somebody who has always loved vegetables as my parents fed me a very balanced diet when i was a kid , but my brothers are the absolute opposite and its extremely important to have a balanced diet . I love these videos and the seasoning is always on point ❤. As a south asian i need my spices 😂. That asparagus looks amazing .
Asparagus in season????? Really??? Almost all the asparagus in the US is imported from Peru (South America) where the seasons go completely different than US, also from Mexico (North America), the seasons go exactly the same than US, sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about, next time you buy asparagus check the sticker!!!!
Ah, a cookbook! Is that why you don’t list ingredients in your more complicated videos? Laziness or $$ or both? Insult to injury : no direct link to Amazon for your book!
God loves you and sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die as payment for our sin on cross. God Jesus Christ became a man, crucified, died, buried, is risen, will return to judge all. all have sinned by breaking God's law, deserve death, eternal torment in lake of fire. God did all to save us from sin and hell. what must we do to be saved? repent, believe, obey God Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour to be saved from sin, hell. this is truth and gospel.
You trying to show how tender a chicken leg or thigh is, is kinda embarrassing. However you cook a chicken if you don’t burn it to a crisp, it will do the same thing lmfao
This was the most pointless videos. That's like saying if you don't like liver and onions, get the liver while it's fresh so you get more metal flavor.
The food came out gorgeous. Also the way you decorated the plate looks gorgeous too. I can tell you are a clean person and caring just by that. Bc I do the same! Lmao great recipe too. Wish you happiness in your life, peace! Dan.
