Step 1 in a nutshell this is the mercy of The Most High. He sends multiple warnings, if you listen you are spared. When it get's to step 2 there's little mercy. He will use evil to destroy evil too, e.g How King Jehu was anointed to end Jezebel & Ahab, how Russia and US are bickering amongst themselves His greatest mercy was the messiah he sent us, to be our priest, but we're still rejecting his begotten son
