ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On RU-vid and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight.If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.
We look at 3 things:
1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver
and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

Honestly now when I play here in Sarasota and the course across the street from my house doesn’t look like June 6 at Omaha Beach I play only 150 and in. That’s it I don’t use the tee box anymore because it’s really a waste of time and effort. I carry 4 clubs and my putter and have a great time. My gap wedge is my favorite club and I am absolutely obsessed with it. I really love playing a full round when it’s cold and windy out because it’s much more comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks Danny I’ve watched you for a long while and just love your common sense insights to the game. God Bless 🙏

Interesting, I have been using your similar technique you spoke about a few months ago, whereby you imagine you're trying to avoid hitting someone. Does anyone else notice that their second, third and later attempts to pitch a ball to a flag get better and better. It's just the natural results of applying experience but that's not easy out on the course during a round. What I need is to collect all that experience for different distances and conditions and apply it first time every time. The only way I can think of to do that is to take this proposal from Danny Maude and repeat many times from many distances. I don't know when that might require introducing different clubs - depends on so many things like the green /fairway/rough/penalty area ratios. For example I have 5 or 6 ways to get a ball to a flag 50 yds away. So here's my dilemma. If I try to acquire a wide variety of experience in pitching I can get quite confused and uncertain. So should I just use this technique and tempo, and choose different clubs to regulate distance. Or just use one club and regulate swing amplitude to regulate distance? These are the two extremes, so what does everyone else do?

Hey Danny, like to see how to stop the ball like you do with the spin so it doesn’t run 10 feet past the green on your chipping/pitching. Thanks, Dennis

Thanks for the excellent advice. Wouldn't it be safer to keep your head down?

There is no real limit, and you don’t need to hit the ball harder. If you need more distance than the 50 or so yards you hitting. You simply use a stronger lofted club. If you were getting 50-55 yards with your 52 degree wedge, you change clubs to a 50, 48 of whatever degree. You use the same swing pattern and club speed and you will get the extra distance. It’s trial and error (practice) to find out what distances you get (consistently) using that same swing with different clubs. If you carry a pitching, gap, sand and lob wedge. There’s four different distances with the same swing. You can double that into eight different distances if you also add in a grip down position on the club, where you grip the club lower on handle.

Good advice Danny! I love playing this shot but then again 70% of my practice is dedicated to the short game - the opposite of most people😮

Great tips as ever Danny. Also very nice when you can use one of the greens at Princes’ golf club to shoot your videos!

I been using this technique. Thanks so much for posting. I tend to pull those shots left considerably. I've been aiming right now to offset the difference. Is there anything you might suggest that I'm doing wrong?

If your technique is good, look at your ball position.

My home course has upslopes in front of most greens. Any suggestions for getting the ball to a short pin. My stock shot is hitting into the slope and hoping it continues toward the flag. Often it goes too far leaving a downhill put. I enjoy your videos, thanks for posting.

In your demonstration swings it looks like the club is straight up between your arms but when you actually hit the ball I think I’m seeing forward shaft lean. Should your wrists be in a position that the hands are at the front thigh when the club face strikes the ball?
@DanielMaude
@DanielMaude 3 дня назад
They should indeed, between 10 - 15 degrees of shaft lean is ideal

I do hinge and hold, on my shorter pitch, chips, 20-40 yards. But having totaly passive hands and wrists might work aswell. It is a really important shot for me, because i have so few greens in regulation. Now time for watching the big boys on Wentworth.

58 yards from the pin. What club did you use for this pitch shot?

I was using a 52 degree wedge as it was going into a wind

2 questions. Where in your stance is the ball? Do you lean on front foot any amount?
