A woman told me about bay leaf tea when I was in my early 20's. Because I was young, I wasn't interested and didn't pay attention to what she was saying. Now that I am in my early 40's, I'm interested more than ever. This sounds like a great recipe for ailments in the body and I'm willing to give it a try.

In India most are much healthier than Americans. I don't eat most American food and I eat vegetables with Turmeric, Garlic and Ginger, etc. every day to stay healthy. A lot of us in U.S. have realized to stay away from McDonald's food!
Antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and carotenoids in the bay help lower blood cholesterol and uric acid levels. In addition, the antioxidant properties found in bay leaf extract have phenolic compounds. These phytochemicals aid in protection against oxidative stress caused by free radicals, which further prevents damage to the liver and stomach. Bay leaf oil is gaining importance due to its anti-inflammatory activity. Massaging joints with Tejpatta oil helps relieve and manage rheumatoid arthritis. Furthermore, drinking bay leaf tea can help decrease joint pains and reduce inflammation. I wish you good health.
@@VB-lc4xz it depends on in which part of Europe you live in. Where I live it is not commonly used in local dishes. The good is quite bland and boring. I'm guessing Mediterranean cuisine uses it more frequently then the northern/western parts of Europe.
@@sandtx4913 I used to live in Eastern Europe, we love bay leaves! A rare dish is cooked without it. But! At the same time, it is used for terminating an unwished pregnancy. Plus, it is poisonous in big quantities.
@@VB-lc4xz I'm guessing that in traditional cooking and I mean traditional as in from centuries ago the people were more tuned in with nature, natural healing and natural eating. Unfortunately most of that intuitive knowledge got lost when people where forced to stop their spiritual practices and follow religious indoctrination and thereafter other sorts of indoctrinations. The western part of Europe is too absorbed in the rat race lifestyle and has lost most of it's roots. My family is originally from India, I am lucky they unknowingly passed some of the ancient knowledge on to me. And thanks to the internet I can find out more. Didn't know that about bay leaves being poisonous in big quantities and terminating pregnancies. Nature provides natural solutions and natural problems for anything.
