Reason online classes

I feel you big time. I usually get straight A’s, and this semester being online, in 3 of my college classes I did. But this one class had our final exam today, and I straight up failed it. I scored the worst in my entire class, and I feel like a complete embarrassment. My parents expect A’s out of me, and I don’t think they are going to be happy about this, but it is what it is. I’d hope they know my track record, and that online classes make things harder. The guy in the video is definitely right, your success as a person is not defined by one exam, or one class, whether you do good or not. Michael Jordan got cut from his high school basketball team, and went on to become arguably the greatest basketball player to ever hoop. If MJ let that failure diminish him, and take away his aspirations to hoop, he never would’ve made it to where he is today. Me, you, and everyone else should have the same mindset, none of us are failures and we all will excel at something, and find our purpose in life, as long as we continue to have passions. So yeah, we might be feeling kinda down right now and I might’ve just rambled too, but I think we’ll get through it. I’m rooting for everyone reading this, and rooting for myself too. I think that’s the only mentality you can have in life if you want to be healthy and successful. Thanks for reading I guess, and let’s be successful one day people!

@@swisscheese4791 same bro I was a topper last year and scored 96 percent in final exams last year but this year due to online classes I didn't study anything and tomorrow is my half yearly chemistry exam and I will fail badly in it. My parents are expecting me to crack IIT but I can't even pass my school exams. I don't know what will they say when they will see my exam results

I'm currently in a similar situation as yours and man whenever i think of writing an exam i think of all my failures and suddenly get panic attaches. And worst part is idk who to talk to😣😑

Hi Soumya, I can understand what you are going through and I just want to tell you that it will pass. You are a fighter and an amazing human being. One day you will look back at your life and smile as a winner. Here are a few things I want to tell you that may help. You need to change your PERSPECTIVE and MINDSET. Instead of thinking of your parents just as ‘parents’ start looking at them as ‘human beings’ too. Human beings have flaws too. Human beings can be wrong. Parents can be wrong. And if someone is wrong, it’s their problem not yours. I don’t want you to hate or dislike your parents. But I want you to understand that human beings are a byproduct of what they grew up with and what they believe. It includes our parents as well. When you will start looking at parents that way it will ease your pain and you won’t dislike them when you reach your 40s. If parents do not respond to you. It means they are responding to what they grew up with and what they believe. If they don’t trust you or blame you, it doesn’t mean you are useless. It just means that they lack parenting skills. It just means they are insecure and they want you to do what they want. They have no idea how all this unnecessary pressure can affect your mental health. Parents use psychological pressure for you to do what they want. And they themselves are not aware of it. And it happens with most of us. But you are a brave girl, you will handle it and I believe you are going to do something really big in life. You are not average. You have not just discovered your true talent. We all are average until we discover our true talent and it takes time. A lot of time. We can't judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree. I know they never understand your point of view but you can still talk to them and tell them that ‘ I love you mom and dad and I am so thankful for all your sacrifices for me but I am having these problems in study and I need your support. And If you don’t want to support that’s fine. I will handle it myself but I really want you to trust me..” Prepare a script in advance before you talk to them. When you talk to them do not expect that they will understand or will support you. You have to talk to them to decrease your mental pressure. Stay calm when you talk to them. At the end just want to tell you that parents’ actions can be wrong but their intention is never wrong. All they want you is to be happy and succeed in life. But you can always learn to control your emotions based on someones’ actions and words. I will suggest you start reading self-help books and start listening to people like Gary Vee, Naval Ravikant etc. You parents may be disappointed now but one day they will not be disappointed :) I promise.

Same I failed in CA inter 2 times I am above average students I scored 89% in board and cleared ca foundation in 1st attempt but studying CA inter in online mode is really too much I also got distracted I also feel overconfident about myself and got addicted to phone and my parent scolded me a lot for getting fail but this time I will not fail if you are really addicted to it just use keep me out phone lock app

I was placed in the topper's section out of no where when I used to be in below average before 10th, and I performed the worst in my class. I don't know why was I placed in the topper's section. Wish I had taken Arts, which was in my interests.

i failed in chemstry just by half marks and being a person who got 90% in boards i feel so embaaresd . I do fail in maths and english exam tooo . I dont know what to do i got many sucidal thought . My chemstry teacher said that you should have thought before optiong science stream in 11th . I havent yet tell my marks to my family . Basical i failed in 3 subject out of 5

Hello there, I failed in 2 subjects maths and science and I feel like a disappointment born in a family of toppers my sisters were toppers both of them got high marks and topped their classes but I have been weak all my life and to my concern you should avoid dating in high school or middle school because it's a waste of time and affects us mentally and physically too. Hi Adesh, I am sorry brother, I understand your pain. Mistakes and failure are a part of life. We all fail at some point or another. And never be worried about others' opinions about yourself. People will always find a way to judge you, ridicule you or laugh at you. Ignore them. You will make new friends, better friends. We all make new friends in life. I wish that you pass your exams but even if you fail that won't matter that much in the long run if you start focusing on the bigger purpose of your life. Instead of feeling depressed and doing nothing, start reading self help books. Try to figure what you want to do in your life. Start exploring your interests and passion. That will help you a lot.

@@sharvesh4409 Of course you made the right decision by being honest. Those who cheated in their exams might have scored good scores today, but they might have to face the consequences in the future. If they had copied means they have literally learnt NOTHING. On the other hand, you actually learnt some concepts. And when the situation changes, when we are supposed to write exams offline in the exam halls, those who copied back then might not be able to write without an aid. On the other hand you'll just crack it easily. Not to forget the fact that they'll be staring blankly at the interviewers during campus trials since they hadn't learnt anything.
