Gross warning: Years ago when I was pregnant with my now-teenager, my husband and I were at the mall late one evening. He went into the men's room while I waited outside. A woman in her 50s or so came over with a pair of men's sweatpants and a t shirt and stood looking annoyed. My husband came out of the bathrrom looking somewhat stunned, and she asked if he could give the sweats and shirt to the fat, mostly naked guy in the men's room. He took them, still looking stunned, and walked back down the hall. I must have had a weird look on my face, because the woman said that someone had walked by them in the Food Court with a crying baby. The baby had suddenly just launched poop all over the guy and started screaming like they were in horrible pain. My husband came back out, and we walked away. I told him what the woman had said, and he seemed relieved. He said a fat, balding man had stripped down to his underwear and shoes and was just desperately soaping himself up all over while muttering furiously. Said the guy must have rinsed himself off four or five times just while he was in there trying to pee. There was a major norovirus outbreak like the next week, and I truly hope they were all okay.

OMG... Not the best story to listen to while on the road. My kid refused to use the bathroom at any rest stop we passed... He barely made it to the one at the hotel.. Not my best parenting moment.😂

The grossest restroom I've ever been in was somewhere on my way to Florida and when you flushed the toilet water (I hope it was water at least lol) would start coming out of the drain in the center of the restroom!

Driving from Cleveland to Cincinnati this past Saturday, I was stopped for quite a long time on interstate 71 due to two semis colliding & rolling over. By the time I got past the scene of the accident, I had to pee so bad that I would’ve stopped ANYWHERE. 😂

This story made me feel dirty: I'd like to think anyone in hard-times might have unbelievable stories they can't properly describe; the reading summoned unpleasant smells with synesthesia. Latent portals exist: by definition a latent thing or place cannot be called "real", defining reality and latency as entirely separate: I had to walk through a rectangle of opaque blackness blocking a forest path, a latent doorway, nothing happened, it wasn't for me, someone had died.
