First, you give your child a stern warning, then you have a conversation with him, after that, you have to discipline. You can’t always reason with the child that’s why they are children. Doing nothing is worse than a whooping.

I disagree. It’s hard to reason with children because they’re at an age where they don’t reason. The job as a parent is to teach discipline by any means necessary…. any.
