So for the mark II you can charge either the battery in the wall or charge through the side of the camera. If your camera is basically dead you can’t record while it charges.
This is why you see us charging our phones and cameras with different coloured cables all the time, we lost them and get one for anything even a speaker charger for all I care
The thing that im baffled at is the fact that anyone had to make this video. Even if you've never seen a usb port before surely you've seen an owners manual of the camera.
This camera battery charges on a block… I have several canons that do this but never once thought to plug it in like phone! Several others did not know this either, so I wouldn’t say it’s that “common” of knowledge :) but glad you were already aware of it!
Well considering this is not the original way to charge the camera… (you take the battery completely out and place it in a charging box) it wasn’t really something I would’ve looked for 😅
@@casuallymallory It is widely recognised as a way to charge your camera. Alot of pros have usb-c ran into their storage area and charge it this way as different cameras have different batteries and chargers ect.
@@cyanproductions6047 I actually knew this coming from a professional photographers perspective… but because so many creators use this for beginner content creation and vlogging I don’t think many of them knew this! This video is also almost 2 years old 😂
