Yeah, learned that 2007. Its great when you're just starting to build up your art supplies, but eventually you just go back to watercolor or can afford the marker color you were trying to make.

Keep in mind that it’s not light fast though, as in it will fade SUPER quick when exposed to light. It’s a cheap and fun way to paint, but don’t expect this to be able to replace watercolor paint.

Yeah, this is a technique that lots of artists use already because water based markers are so streaky on normal printing paper 😅😊

I did this with watercolor Pencils, First I took my pencil and sharpened it into a small container, next I separated the wood and only kept the graphite/lead, and lastly added water and mixed!

You can use food dye as watercolour too! The gel stuff works especially well.

I actually used this in my art class once! There was a prompt where you had to vent about whatever and then cover it up and make it illegible one of the ways, and the way I did it, was to use water soluble markers and make just put it on the page so the words become unable to be read- it was a lot of fun!

I used to blend crayola markers this way :) when they were still wet I had a water brush that I would use to move the ink from the lines I’d made. Definitely not the same as using watercolors themselves but still fun and pretty handy!

ok idk if ppl will discover this or already have but once I was in class doing an art project with my friend and he kept running out of ink (this was when I was a kid) so he thought it would be smart to sharpen the pen (they were crayola) anyway he did it and sharpened it all the way and hair came out of it😳and I’m talking A LOT like wig hair. It was the same colour as the pen and filled with ink and it was crazy bro

I made a water color too but different so i put a tuny bit of water and put my marker in the water not to much tho and when i colored on my paper it looks like water color it works for any marker and crazy art is acaped
