That thinking and rethinking strategy kind of sounds like scripting, where you plan out conversations way before hand in order to try and predict social outcomes and prevent bullying or isolation, if not doing so had resulted in traumatic past experiences. It is a form of rumination and stems from hyper vigilance as a way of predicting the future which is logically faulty because people are complex and could say or do anything at any moment. Anxiety brain however does not care about what’s logical, unfortunately.
