Forgot to mention you can just jump to use her forte when you have full forte stacks. This took more time than I expected but it's finally done. Expect an advanced breakdown for Danjin and Sanhua soon. Also, How was she hitting 10K per hit of her liberation at 13:10 ?
if ur going to QS to get a forte, u might as well use ba34 instead of HAba. she is 1 of the few characters that swaps in on ba3, yet every single person i see who promote/use yangyang still use HAba thats longer animation, less dmg, and generates less concerto.
@@mfyippekiyay728 i tried both. While it’s easier to user bA3 to BA5 after swap, the heavy attack version is rather faster even if you animation cancel the last BA5 hit
Rooting this series man. I would love to see more players trying another characters instead of following a meta just because someone else told them to. In a game like Wuthering Waves, the player skill is more important than having a meta team to get through every content in the game. For example, I cleared the second floor of the right Ovedrive Tower with Catapulta and a level 80 Yangyang who wasn't fully built at that time. Tomorrow I'll try again with them now that she's level 90 with her skills at level 8 (not 10 because, well, Mortefi is having all my attention now to make Jiyan more and more stronger).
@@wildcrown340 Well said. That’s exactly what I like about wuthering waves. The player is not carried by overpowered reactions so you can experiment with many things and find out what works best which is very rewarding and makes your play-style unique
@@BarakethGaming sure. For the Jiyan, rotation, it’s very easy. All you need to do is from healer to yangyang but before yangyang’s concerto energy fully fills up, swap to jiyan and use his echo for the buff. Then swap to yangyang and finish filling her concerto energy. Then intro with jiyan. You can use jiyan’s skill twice during his dragon mode, at the beginning and the end of the rotation for more damage and a bit of resonance energy recovery. Yangyang will fill up the rest of the
ever since i saw this vid, i tried playing yangyang and building her since i had her at S6. currently she’s only at lvl 50 since i cannot afford to go any higher, but I’m pleasantly surprised that i’m enjoying her so far! i use her in a team with xiangli yao and shorekeeper, and it’s honestly so fun. I’m waiting for the time when i can truly build her and use her to her full potential!
I like how you can build your team base on how much you have invested in each character. For instance the typical support, low investment sub dps/buffer on moonlit, main dps can turn into support, sub dps now wears a damage set, main dps. Once your sub dps is invested and you have a good dps set for them you can run duo dps/quick swap with this team now instead of funneling all the damage to one character. Now i’m not saying one is better than the other but it can change your gameplay/rotation to keep this game fresh if you ever get bored of just doing the same thing over and over. This is why I like using off meta teams in over world and in end game since I’ve cleared everything already.
Just recently, I use her with jinshi and shorekeeper, and I really do regret not lvl up her earlier. It's so fun to watch the enemy being center by yang yang, shorekeeper buff and jinshi finish them off
I was waiting for this, and as always, you don't disappoint in putting underrated character to spotlight. My add as usual: 1. Alternative trigger to trigger her forte "Judgment cut" attack, is to simply heavy attack with her. Notice that after her heavy attack "thrust" (noticably at 11:06 in the video) you are slightly airborne. This counts for being airborne to trigger the judgment cut, so if you miss the timing covered in this video due to unforeseen circumstances (dodging, catching up with mob etc.) instead of just jump to trigger, you can add a bit more concerto/reso gain by doing heavy -> forte that way. Just to keep in mind as part of her arsenal. 2. Her grouping capability is really her edge that is definitely a godsend for other main DPS not named Jiyan. Aside from bonus lib regen, both XY and Changli has considerably smaller radius with their liberation compared to Jinhsi, but they also have higher lib multiplier. Said grouping help make sure both of them can wipe the plate clean with trash mob. 3. Yangyang, especially at S5, is one of the most underrated nuker even among 5 stars. Her base liberation multiplier is already at 558.96% + 372.70% (12 small hits then 1 bigger hit), which is already on the top end of 4 stars. At S5, you get additional 85% dmg bonus to this move, that has another 23% dmg bonus from inherent and S1 if you use this move within 8 seconds after her intro. The best part? This move has very low resonance cost (100) compared to other resonator's lib, so it is not that hard to quickly fill her gauge to repeat her liberation.
If Genshin ever taught me anything, its that Energy is super important on clearing floors.. especially if you're not a whale and cant one-shot crit fishing
I love these guides! I would like to see one for Baizhi. Anyone who's missing either Verina (like me) or Shorekeeper is probably using her as support #2 for ToA.
Nice video I'm building my Yangyang now, propably gonna take few more days to ascent her and get her talent to 9 I got her to c6 long ago but I never use her cuz there are better Chara support for more specific main dps but I keep seeing her quickswap gameplay in RU-vid and now I kinda want to play her
Awesome guide. Point about enemy phases which allow you to build up concerto energy, but not energy for liberation was very interesting. I would point out to something else, kinda the opposite to what was said in the video. It seems to me that Yangyang has a very good potential for characters who ARE NOT reliant on liberation to work, but their liberation is a very good flexible damage, like Jinhsi or Rover. Here we shouldn't even just look at DPS calculations, but how getting quicker to a nuke and good AoE can wipe out entire wave of enemies or finish the whole run. Even if calculating raw DPS of whole rotations it might seem as less efficient, in practice it might be better faster finishing the phase / run when otherwise it would still had to continue with theoretically higher DPS. Frontloaded / nuke DPS can have an edge over sustained DPS, in the end fighting is highly situational and far from what theorycrafters show in calculations.
A great team I found for her is with Jianxin, Mortefi, Yangyang. I have a very cruisy time with energy recharge stats on the team and can focus more on dps stats. Yangyang really makes the team pop off with ults all the time.
Mecha abomination cast from dps + Yangyang Ult CC is the best way to clear the first wave of enemies Mecha abomination echo attack is considered quadratic scaling, pair that with yangyang liberation CC and you basiclaly deal a lot dmg by just pressing a few buttons
You forgot to mention that if you use her as a sub DPS in a quick swap team, you can make use of the fact that she starts at basic 3 when you swap to her, it only takes a second for her to start the basic 5 chain, after which you can swap her out again. I would argue if you sweat hard enough you can fill her forte gauge faster than heavy attacks this way with minimal field time and stamina consumption.
Tried that as well when I was testing her. Per my testing, the heavy attack version felt more consistent since it has inbuilt resistance to interruption for smooth swap cancels to prevent her from dodging. Here’s a tip though if you’re planning to use her third basic attack after swapping. You can cancel the animation of the 5th hit by swapping to another character and she’ll complete the attack to generate one stack. Thanks for bringing it up though👍🏽
Yang² is pretty decent. i use her with changli. every time i swap into her, I'll be able to do forte ult forte and then swap out. She helped smoothen my rotation and, after finishing my moonlit set yang² now have 69% crit rate and 269% crit dmg(nice), allowing her to do decent dmg(i still can improve it cuz my 4 cost got the lowest crit and crit dmg ratios)
@@markdanieldalian2934 those are some really nice stats for a moon lit set. And yeah, Yangyang makes your rotations very smooth because of her energy regeneration
I play Yangyang as main DPS too, but with Aalto for the Aero DMG Bonus instead of Sanhua. It's really fun zooming around enemies and grouping them with Yangyang
Starting to build her. Only because I now have Shorekeeper and I can say I have the full party of the Automata team. Three characters in WuWa are voiced by the same Japanese voice actors as 2B, 9S, and A2. 😂
Yeah her S6 will grant the 20% atk buff but I mostly let that go to the main dps instead so that yangyang can recover resonance energy by using her liberation first and then Forte. Thanks for bringing it up though👍🏽
Great video! Just liked and subscribed. I think I might build her for my Jinhsi or Changli since I don’t have a sub dps for them and since she’s already S6. What’s the ideal stats for my sub dps yangyang or ones I should focus on?
Welcome aboard. Get at least 2K attack( 5 star weapon recommended but endless collapse is fine), 60+ crit rate, 210+ crit damage and 115% energy regen from substats. Don’t use energy regen echos
My Yangyang is build as main dps and although she isn't as strong as the other she is the first max and loved character since day 1. i can literally do quick swaps/outros 2x or way worst 3x with my team under 15secs like my concerto energy never gets drained with my team Yangyang, Sanhua and SK
I feel like an idiot missing the free XL Yao every time I see a video featuring him. Currently coping with Callcentre's clunkiness - nothing feels better than dodging during his alt state and getting punished for it unless you purposely work against the game's dodge counter mechanic. It's also really fun when the enemy (like Mephis) decides to start teleporting or moving around when his DM is about to land. Yup I coped without Mortefi by using Yangyang with my Jiyan until I finally got Morty recently, and I'll probably still use her for overworld even after Morty is built as her grouping is nice to have and I like her JP VA. She'll always have a spot on any team that needs traction. On that note, f**k those rocket fractsidus guys and the hoochamp that throws air and generates a mini-tornado that staggers you, the two most annoying small enemies in the game other than maybe flautist and tambourinist.
The problem i got with her is that my team is already optimize for tower and swap her in feel like a choke. If we had a new dps that can work great with her that should be cool to try.
Big brain energy YanyYang is supposed to be a brainy character So can we swap cancel during feather release or after she lands(which she would follow up with the iaijutsu thing/
6:20 I already a Cracked Moonlight Crit Damage Set For Aalto, Jianxin so I'll be shifting that to Yangyang. So if I give her Emerald genesis she be At 54 Crit Rate and 278 Crit damage.
When you have a character’s signs weapon, go with atk% and elemental damage bonus. If you don’t have the signature weapon, go with double elemental damage bonus. I’m yet to make a detailed video on “how to actually build your characters” with proof of concept so look forward to it.
I am using zhezhi with xiangli yao just for the ultimate regen and jianxin for ultimate dmg buff the rotation is scuffed zhezhi-yao-jianxin-yao but it works if i'm having a hard time surviving i just use verina
Is the line up male Rover, Yang yang, and verina okay? This is my first game of this type and I've only played moba games thus far. So I don't know if I'm doing it right 😅😂
@@xxLorienxx the line up is good for multi wave enemies but it will work for single target if your Yangyang is properly built to do damage. Feel free to ask anything about the game. It’s why my channel exists
Shhhhhhhh don't tell them... Now everyone will use cheat code jK , she is INSANE AS À SUB DPS use moonlight cloud and get her to c6 voilà free 40% buff also did I mention how her fort is always full in like 3s in filed, she has the best counter attack and her she actually deals a lot of dmg along side cc and free energy for EVEN À FULL FORTE FOR UR DPS
I was forced to stop the video to laugh and comment about it... jajajahjahahaha "Chupacabra!" hjhahaha man!! :v Thank you for the videos and for the fun! :v
Is she better than jianxin? Just lost my 50/50 to her…she’s at c1 vs my c6 yangyang both level 1🙈 my dps are xiangli yao, changli and havoc rover, mortefi is also build 🫣
how isee Yanyang at S0 kinda bad and lacking in dmg. while at S6 its quite decent, also main selling Jianxin is her outro skill that really good fit for Xiangli Yao. tho its maybe my skill issue on mypart but i kinda have hard time to generate Forte of Jianxing without using weapon that boost forte generation than Yanyang who i use emerald Genesis R2
Character can’t just be better overall. It depends on what you want to achieve and then I can provide answers. What team do you want to build with Jianxin or Yangyang?
@@itssenpai626 right now I’m mostly using xiangli yao mortefi shorekeeper and changli rover verina as my teams, I’ve got baizhi also mostly build and after seeing your video I was asking if yangyang or jianxin would fit anywhere better, I’m not good at rotations and such things though. And if I get this correctly I need 3 full times to clear the tower completely? So I’m thinking who to build. Yijan and morte would’ve been nice i guess, but the luck wasn’t on my side🫠
@ Jianxin is the best support for xiangli yao and she’s only second to Yinlin. I have some videos on Jianxin and xiangli yao on the channel so let me recommend some for you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aVi2iTb-5h8.htmlsi=KU_-CbKrj2cvvnXu Skip to the part with the echoing tower. I used xiangli yao and Jianxin. The only difference is that the tower made Jianxin use her skill multiple times but the general idea is that you need to intro with Jianxin two times after the first rotation. Dps to jianxin and then healer to jianxin to fill her concerto energy fast
