After living in England for over 4 years (I’m Brazilian), I came to the conclusion that British people are more likely to love Alice, because it has a lot of British peculiarities in it that I didn’t catch before living in the UK. I still don’t really like it, but now I appreciate more why some people are crazy about it. 🤷‍♀️

I love the concept of wonderland - reality is such a fragile thing and when twisted can become quite peculiar. But, Alice represents bringing our concept of reality and innocence into this world that feels forced to just make the reader better flow through this world. But that’s just my opinion on it.

I just finished “Foundryside” for the second time to get ready for the sequel, and I think that anyone who has read “Six of Crows” and wants to try adult should give it a shot! Not sure about the other way around though...

Can i read six of crows without having read any of the other crooked kingdom books?

@@yvonnelarsen4865 technically you can, just keep in mind that some people find the beginning of six of crows confusing, have they not read the Grisha trilogy first. Six of crows doesn't explain the magic or the history of the world at the beginning, the book just throws you in. If you're someone that reads a lot of epic fantasy you Probably won't have much of a problem, though. A lot of people don't enjoy the Grisha trilogy (i think it's fine), so I would recommend reading the first book, Shadow And Bone, and if you don't like it, move to Six of Crows. That way you get an introduction to the magic. But yes, technically you can.

I'm not a person who comments on videos but i wanted to say G, i really really like your hair like this! My hair is very similar to yours, i spent years straightening them everyday. Since couple of years i embraced my natural hair the way it is. And your natural hair gets better when you stop styling them all the time. Now i'm so proud of my natural hair how bouncy and nice it is :) I still style my hair every now and then but in special occasions. Keep it up and you'll start loving it! also less time spent on styling, which is a relief :D

So much yes to Sleeping Giants and Illuminae! I also think that if you're a fan of Brigid Kemmerer's writing in A Curse So Dark and Lonely and are in the mood for a contemporary, you might enjoy Letters to the Lost + More Than We Can Tell by her.

I cannot for the life of me put my finger on it but this video has such a relaxing and entrancing effect on me! I like these types of videos by other booktubers but if they are too long I might lose interest in them but this one.........I don't know if it's the gold-amber aesthetic of it, or your playful appearance or your voice but I think it's safe to say I was completely captivated.

Love your hair! I still need to read so many of these books, especially Illuminae, Sleeping Giants, and Invictus! We Are Legion (We Are Bob) is incredible, and the Bobiverse series is my all-time favorite scifi series! The audiobook narrator, Ray Porter, is wonderful and sounds a lot like Tom Hanks. Lol. I really think these books would make a great scifi TV series!

Oh man, the Tales of Verania audiobook series (The Lightning-Struck Heart) is AMAZING! So hilarious, I love all the characters, and it's gay AF. Lol. I recommend the whole series, which gets much darker with each book and the villain introduced in book 2 is fantastic!

If you like the concept of the starless sea with the book in a book you should try The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. I‘m currently reading it and I really like the writing style.

I have several takeaways I wish to share: 1) You somehow remind me of a studio Ghibli character or one of those IG artists who paint everyday life scenes. Not sure how to explain it, hope you get what I mean. Either way, it is a compliment! 2) All the book recommendations are awesome. I loved a curse so dark and lonely but after skimming acotr at the bookstore quickly realized it wasn't for me. enjoyed your rec's I have never read every heart a doorway but it sounds good!

Of characters being angry at the world, Daenerys from Game of Thrones would fit into that category along with the book A Song of Ice and Fire. A lot of circumstances happened to Daenerys both in the book and the show that were out of her control and made her turn into a villain at the end even though she was a tragic hero.
