Have to say I disagree hard with the "If you say it when you're drunk, you feel it all the time somewhere in your heart". I'm 99.99% sure that I've never wanted to sleep on the floor of a toilet stall or drink the water from a fish tank, but being drunk as a fish can make you do things and say things you couldn't even imagine.
Drunk words are sober thoughts. The alcohol just enables thoughts that were always there. They didnt just come out of nowhere. Drinking didn't make you drink and drive, the criminal irresponsibility was always there. Drinking didnt make you murder and it didnt make you go on a drunken rahciss tirade. Take accountability. If alcohol was the reason people committed crimes, we would never prosecute any crime because anyone could say "DERP I WAS DRUNK. IT WASNT ME"
Honestly I actually do really like to say things to people that would be really racist if they were a different race. I've got a pasty white ginger friend with freckles and I've told him to go back to Africa several times. I wasn’t bothered by it bc worst things were said to me by other patients however at least they were blatant with it..I always knew what to expect. But with that patient it just kept bothering me cause I had a feeling but couldn’t confirm it. And when I told the other nurses they confirmed it as well.
If I could give you a hundred thumbs up I would. Anika is being modest here. So if a patient is not all there mentally or they feel like they going die their true self comes out. As normal adults we constantly hold back our feelings.

But there’s instances when I believe that them being sick or pain is bringing out their true character. That being said no matter what I have to be in control of myself. @@Nepthu from what I gather its debatable, there is no question alcohol does loosen inhibitions(in a general sense--some people just tend to withdraw and go quiet) and make you subject to doing things that you would otherwise not do when in sober condition, like for example having drunk sex and regretting it in the morning or getting strange tattoos with your mates, some just blackout and talk nonsense that they cant recall later or even wonder where they got the idea from when told about it. One way that I have heard it explained is that its not your sober thoughts but your inner sub conscious thoughts being brought out, like we all have our own personal demons or prejudices or opinions or even conceptual musings that people may violently disagree with and hence when sober and of sound mind we keep them suppressed. Drunkenness allows those check gates to be flung open, like for example sometimes we have people we dislike and we get angry with them or get into arguments and even if we don't really mean it we say terrible things in the heat of the moment. Personally I dont get bothered by drunken insults and other prejudicial language, get them home, sober up in the morning and watch them become sheepish...though if its a compulsive drunkard with history of violent behavior then maybe some intervention will be needed.

My upstairs neighbor moved out a few months ago. When she told me that she was moving, I almost cried. She was nice to me from the day I looked at my apartment and decided to rent it. We became friends and looked out for each other. She was a black woman and I am a white man. I just wanted to present a positive situation .
