I have 8 security cameras outside and 12 inside 4 of which are hidden. They all record audio and video. It's my house and property and frankly don't give a fuck what the laws are about it. The ONLY time the footage of my system would ever be used is in the event of a break-in and depending on weather the person even made it out of my house to begin with but the possibility of that is very slim. Thank God I live in a state that allows me to protect myself and family at all costs.

I'm no lawyer, but I think (in Canada) you are not responsible for someone who has no reason to be somewhere (tell them they are being filmed, being responsible for injuries etc) but if you have guests in the room while it's running you have to tell them or put a sign somewhere.
