I need to try this with eucalyptus oil and see how they dont mix, i assume the oil should float to the top.I typically dry up with paper points just to suck up any left over guttapercha anyways.

I could be wrong but I Am understand the implication that chloroform is antibacterial.

I find chloroform to be messy....a heated unit to soften the GP followed by your file on very high RPM usually takes out the GP point

Nice video, good to know this. In Europe you can't get chloroform easily (so far as I know), and I used Eucalyptus oil and it if spilled on the dam, it would "burn" holes in the rubber dam. I wonder if you can dissolve chloroform with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol. Happy holidays!
