What a unique and well-executed intro. You're not supposed to know exactly what happened; you have to figure these things out for yourself. All you know is that you are landed in this desolate wasteland and that you ARE the sole survivor. It's up to the player to imagine how it all came to this, just as it's up to them to imagine that they didn't spend $10 on this game.
You know hyenas, elephants and crocodiles are considered as pets in parts of Africa, and tigers and lions are also pets, but for rich mfs that rather feed tons of meat to an animal that can get that food for itself than giving food to homeless people starving in the streets.
Let me just say Charlie, your performance in "last of the grads" was absolutely outstanding, it was a work of art and beautiful and you played this horror role perfectly. The fear. So intense, you are a truly skillful actor and I will never forget the iconic "what do you want me to do, shut it down?" Line. Truly outstanding Charles truly magnificent
I honestly don't understand people in the comments that are seriously trying to point out that he used the wrong "you're" in the title. 0:43 is where the title is explained. He titled it that way on purpose.
In all honesty, even if this was made by a kid, it still has some really good game design basics. The game is not repetitive, every area offers a new challenge. You had to dodge giant rocks or jump platforms or fight giant mantis, there is legit more gameplay diversity here than in most triple A games.
Right off the bat you know it's a souls-like. Melee combat, skeleton enemies, and environmental hazards that are arguably more dangerous than everything else. It has it all.
I didn't read the "so" in the title and as a result I was sitting here thinking about A Soul Survivor being an object. That didn't last long, cause then the noodle arms cracked me up. I've just been sitting here cackling like a fool the whole vid.

I said both to his previous statement as a joke about how many “bad” games Charlie buys and how much money he makes of it humorously.
