A lady police officer knew I rescued animals. She came and asked me if I'd take three little kittens. So I said,of course,I'll help them. She brought them. When she came in she said wow. I asked her what's wrong. This place is immaculate. I said,yes I keep it that way. She said,most people who have rescues their homes are stinky and all. She took a tour through my house and she was shocked that where I kept the kittens was clean as a pin too. What a great compliment!!!! Kudos to you Lee from me.

I have rescued many dogs over my 67 years of life and cats too. Currently, I have three rescue dogs. Two of them came all the way from New Mexico to Utah where I live. None of them were newborns because I prefer to rescue dogs that are several years old that get overlooked. I have a bichon frize that I rescued at 3 years of age, a shepherdoodle that I rescued at 7 months of age, and a toy poodle that I rescued at 4 years of age. The shepherdoodle, which is half German shepherd, half standard poodle inherited her German Shepherd mothers hair and it's a nightmare. As far as the dogs go. They are so happy, so extremely well behaved, and just bring me so much joy and laugh. They also keep me company because I'm alone

Mildred is looking great! Gaining 30lbs is beginning to show that she is beautiful on the outside, though we already knew she is beautiful on the inside. She really has such a huge heart… wonderful personality, so very loving. You can tell she adores you, Lee. Mildred is definitely loved by the entire pack as well. My grandparents and all my aunts, uncles and cousins were from New Hartford, so I spent the fits 20 yrs of my life traveling to the area a few times a year to visit family, then married my ex wife from Rome and spent the next 20 yrs driving there to visit her family... Been a Syracuse Basketball fan for over 40 yrs...

I’m really invested in Millie’s story. I have chronic Lyme disease so I can’t even imagine how she was able to hang on from having that and being neglected the way she was. It’s so great to see her thriving! She’s gaining weight and walking so well. Go Millie!

My husband had Lymes disease 2002 but the Drs weren’t sure. It was Lyme antibodies that triggered MS. After fighting for 10 yrs he finally was treated for the lymes with Doxycycline. Have you looked into this? His blood work no longer shows Lyme disease. He was on Doxycycline for 9 months.

You are a special, incredible, empathetic, compassionate man and I wish all humans were like you. Thank you for rescuing dogs but also for loving them. I have four dogs and we may lose our housing because I am a senior and running out of money. Rehoming them would break my heart, to say the least. If I could find someone like you I would be at peace about having to rehome them.

You could have some smooth rocks and sand brought in to make a rocky Beach area for the dogs so they don't get so muddy. They'd be walking walking over sand and smooth rocks instead of mud to get in and out of the lake. You could also build a dock for them to jump off of they would like that.

poop on the floor in the house and especially in the kitchen, would drive me bananas. Accidents can happen, for whatever the reason and one has to be prepared mentally for that. However, just spot cleaning the floor like you did would not be enough for me. There would have to be a whole complete floor mop and then a complete new water rinse. Mildred's update was greatly appreciated. All the best for her.

Lee, do you rinse the dogs off with clean water ?? Do you check them for leeches and other parasites? I once pulled fifteen baby leeches from between my dogs toes. Watching this video , that was all I could think of. That and the fact I had one dog that regularly got severe staph infections from pond water.

Love the lake! I could see the pack picking up speed when you got close, too. You can always reduce the mud by shoring up with pebbles topped by sand. Anyway, mosquitoes can be an issue if the water is stagnant. A nice solar fountain(s) would help keep that water moving. 🤗 Beautiful house, btw! I love Simple Green, but had no idea they have a lemon scent.

I always loved the walk down to the river which must have been on the other property...this property will be great for the dogs to have more space but there was something special about that walk down to the river and them all wandering around having a paddle!

*_I wouldn't trade muddy dog paws for anything! It's all about the love!_* When I started fostering I lived in a large victorian in San Francisco and with beautiful 120-year-old wood floors and it was actually quite easy. I ended up having a foster fail who was half labrador and due to his shedding I had to get a Roomba and other than that, dumping our human boots at the door and wiping the dog's paws when it rained was enough. I'm currently in Seattle and spend a lot of time in the rural areas and muddy dog paws just never end! Good thing about living in a state without such strict water rationing is that I can now do loads of towels!

This is the first time I realized that you're on your new property. Super! I wonder if there's any way to cut down on the mud in the lake entrance...When you all were walking, I thought "I bet they miss their creek". And then, a lake! Great to get the update on Millie. Do the doggies get any green grass to walk on? I just realized that I used Simply Green, unintentionally. Now I'll be more aware of it when I shop. You should look into Paddock Paradise - which is information on how to set up a "track" system. It focuses on horses, but it works for ALL herd animals. Keeps them moving, keeps their hooves (if they have them) healthy, allows them to forage (instead of graze, which is better for digestion). Your track would be total awesome, with horses, goats, etc. on it. With all that area - OMG. I would LOVE it.

Your video is very important because so many people get so upset with the animal or a very natural thing, I love the way you address it. It can be cleaned. If it clothes it can be laundered. I used see people throw away perfectly good shoes just because they stepped in a little poo..

Mastiffs are wonderful dogs. We used to have one & joked that if she had opposable thumbs she'd do the housework. If the neighbor kids were fighting, she thought she had to fix it. She tried to take care of everything.
