In today's video, I'm looking at the Boss FS-1-WL Bluetooth Wireless Footswitch.
This compact Bluetooth controller can be use to control any bluetooth enabled device. Say that you want to control an amp sim on your computer or your phone/ tablet this will do the job. Say you want to control a Digital Audio Workstation on your computer, again this will do the job.

Gonna shoot the amplitube in my phone to a little stereo and that's going to be my practice amp... this might work for turning pedals on and off.

If you don't mind being wired the Behringer FCB1010 works wonderfully for this.

Use a widi jack or uhost into the back of the FCB and you can take that surfboard fully wireless. Should be able to power it off a powerbank with voltage conversion. A mission 529 ?

The FCB is great. Took a bit to figure out the tap dancing way of programming things, but it's perfect in the studio when I'm tracking guitars and want to stay hands off my keyboard. Thanks for the widi jack rec!

Hi! Is it possible to change the switch by a midi cc# ? But this mean to have a midi Input… and i dont think there is one.😅 I mean to use it in bluetooth with an Ipad, to turn pages for example, with footswitch AND with an external sequencer in midi.

I really don’t think there would be a problem with latency. Actual audio over Bluetooth yes but not for a controller.

Does it come with a guide for setup with other daws? I use Logic. Love the idea of this, not a programmer tho!

It doesn’t come with a setup guide, although it should be in the Logic setup guide on how to setup controllers.

Typically there would be a learn procedure in most daws, you can edit any parameter and use a midi learn to look for any incoming signal. Move the exp and the software would just lock onto it.

When I connect the unit with Bluetooth in windows 11, I can not be used as midi controller….only when I plug it in with USB. So how do you use the unit wireless as midicontroller in windows?

to the people who are reading this. if you are going to be using midi hardware and not using this foe angry birds and porn, there are cheaper midi foot controllers that do a whole lot more! what pissed me off was you cant dail in the cc value.(if you dont know what cc midi message is, you dont need this anyway.) the cc value if picked from a drop-down menu and skips over a lot.(31 cc- 64 cc). to the host. happy hyping!

Boss erase my comments but I’ll keep posting These devices are advertised as "Fully customizable", and it is not true, they are Locked for CC#'s 32-63 and 95-127. Your support answer was: Unfortunately, the FS-1-WL can not transit CC#'s 32-63 and 95-127,
