Nice video. Can you get a lesson if you aren’t a member? You are in my neck of the woods. I always see videos for coaches at country clubs in my area but I’m just a guy that needs a lesson that hits public courses.

Most country club pros will give lessons to non-members. Call the clubs near you and I’m sure you’ll find a quality coach.

She is right his hands were so fast at contact rolling over and closing the face. A little too aggressive with the hands. I have the opposite problem, hands to passive and slow, shots drift to the right, not squaring club face.

I really don't think telling you not to shut your club face to fix a hook is a good lesson. Of course that is the cause of the hook at impact, but what in your swing was leading you to close it unintentionally?

Because he was focused on his hands he was closing them through impact causing the closed face and hook. Focusing on the hips leading took his mind off of the hands. Essentially she was giving him something to get his conscious mind out of the shot. I thought it was a brilliant lesson.

Last time I checked, I didn’t see @korkeiw on the GD’s Top 100 Instructors list this year. Could be wrong! I forgot everyone on here is a plus handicap. The internet baffles me sometimes.

Every serious golfer needs to understand the ball flight laws. This is a 30,000 foot view. Look up a video on it. Then, once you understand, start with your favorite iron. Tee up 3 balls. From the same stance hit one right, one straight, and one left. You have to FEEL where the club face is if you’re going to get better. Start slow!!
