Actually, no they didn’t. Americans invented what is modern football in 1878, and the rules were finalized at the Massasoit Conference in 1880, thanks to Walter Camp (Father of football/American football). He invented the down system, the line of scrimmage, the points system we use today, etc. And Americans were the first to forward pass. Canadians were playing a rugby-style until 1903 which is when their modernized rules were brought up (Burnside Rules), later on they’d then borrow and start using our rules/tips/style, like the aforementioned above. So Americans invented football. Canada was basically playing a rugby style sport with soccer scoring system, until they started using the rules/style AMERICANS invented. And mind you Canadian football still had implementations of rugby in their football even through the 40s. The way football is played today is American, so go back to playing your knockoff rugby/Canadian rugby. “Common knowledge” lol no one outside of Canada claims Canada to be the inventor. Educate yourself.
Growing up in Toronto I heard people make comments like a high school football team from texas could beat our best players. It's good to see results like this to prove those doubters wrong.
oh no thats true they could beat the top players. but no one thats good at football at that age go play in a U19 league lol they all go D1 and then make fat money in the NFL. these are they kids that played behind those players and couldnt get D2 or D3 scholorships or got in trouble or cut from college teams around the country.
You know most of those kids on the American team don't go D1 or even D2 they are bunch of D3 athletes. So congrats I guess that you beat are mediocre team.
These kids were DI FCS athletes but not top level FBS athletes look it up. Team USA and Team Canada have been playing International Bowl games outside of these U19 world championships for 4 years with the past two years loaded with plenty of blue chip recruits going to the top powerhouse schools. Look it up on youtube and watch the games. Regardless a win is a win and we had lost to a bunch of D3 kids people like you would be saying Canadian kids are garbage and cant beat even a bunch of D3 players. Canadian talent has come along way and may not reach the level of D1 FBS but its definitely moving from D2 level to NCAA D2 FCS level.
Jim Mullin coool ty, what about field size/rules does that differ like in hockey (european ice is bigger vs north america e.g) sorry i cant find this on the internet!
the USA safety was such a scrub and thats what team USA gets for playing cover 3 at a high level. they deserve to get scored on by more points to be honest.
