My penetration testing video has me thinking more than usual about safety, and about hobbies with hole-punching devices. So I wanted to share my minimum IFAK loadout with you to get you thinking about some minimum precautions. If you are not way ahead of me already!

Good idea for a video :) I have a couple of Space blankets in my main IFAK (and one in my smaller one), but it's worth noting that the frequent claim that they reflect 'up to 90% of body heat' is untrue. They only reflect RADIANT body heat, (about 20% of the total body heat), and to reflect such a high percentage, they would need to be a perfect mirror finish, and you'd need to be in something like a bag. I've seen tests where they were no more thermally efficient than plain polythene. I include them in my IFAK because I think they're useful to keep a body off damp/wet/cold ground, and help keep injuries and first aid equipment clean.
