Fatai Baiyewumu was sentenced to death by Justice Owolabi Kolawole of high court Ogun state branch on the 30 of September 1980. And he was kept in the prison until Col Oladipo Diya became governor of Ogun state. It was Oladipo Diya that signed the death warrant of Fatai Baiyewumu in 1984.
