Sorry for all the "um's" and my rambling!
I am not an iFlight pilot or being paid to do this review, I just love these motors!
Hey guys, here is a quick review on the motors I've been using for a year now. Main point it that the are super durable and smooth. I know I'd did not go over everything in the video so please comment if you have any questions.
The quads in the video weight about 720 grams all up with battery and gopro.
The 2207's the power starts around 60% like most. Bottom end is mushy but controllable.
The 2306's have all the power between the 30-60% range. After 60% its just higher rpm but no real bite.
Both feel very smooth as far a throttle feeling and I now prefer the 2306's for the type of flying i do. They handle prop wash better too.
I broke all of my ND's again so sorry for all the over exposed flight footage.

Your review is on point. I had the 2208 1800 kv xing motors and love them. They all have marks and dings where they have taken hits and they still run so smooth. Way more durable than my tmotor f40 pro III.

Thanks bro! Yeah I should have shown just how scratched and dinged up my motors are. Just decided to do it out of nowhere so no real planning, lol.

Excellent review. This is just what I wanted to hear about them. I just purchased the 2207 2450KV Unibell in red/black pattern. I was going to purchase the 2208s but JBs website led me to believe they were a little bit more power-hungry. So, I went with the 2207s. Believe it or not, I started out with Samguk $9. motors and they have taken a beating! I recently fried one when an ESC shorted and caught fire. I always said when one goes, I'm upgrading. And two years later, here I am. Too bad they went out of business. I highly recommended the Samguks for new pilots. Anyway, I just subbed you.

Thank you Nick! I'm glad you upgraded, you should notice a pretty big difference. I never had the Samguk series motors but I did here good things considering the price. I believe I answered your battery question on your FB post, but the average flight time was about 3 minutes with a 1300 4s with hard flying. Thank you for the sub!

xing motors are great super durable and smooth like butter.... recently i bought t-motor blackbird v2 motors ... i still prefer my old xings 2207
@VoidvaderFPV
@VoidvaderFPV 3 года назад
Yup! I feel the same way...and I've heard that the blackbird motors are super smooth as well. I have some Umagawd Hex motors and they are smooth as well I still prefer my Xings

have the exact same motors, crashed real hard into concrete and only cracked the magnet in one, the other 3 are still like new, these motors can take a real beating
@VoidvaderFPV
@VoidvaderFPV 4 года назад
Yeah they do take a beating but every motor will eventually give out. I'm just surprised that they have held up for so long considering i crash on concrete a lot

I recorded it with my Samsung S20+, I just got it on Friday...it is pretty damn sweet! We do man, hopefully I can go in a couple of weekends. In need to get some more ND's(again) and fix a couple things first

Nice review 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Differences between x2207 & x2306? I have emax eco 2306 2400kv on a tbs source one v3 frame, I'm looking for upgrading motors and I don't know which should I get, x2207 or x2306?
@VoidvaderFPV
@VoidvaderFPV 3 года назад
Thanks man! Ok so 2207 have most of there power in the top end of the throttle and 2306 have power in the 30-60% of the throttle. They are both great for freestyle and it just depends on what style you are going for. Im more of a flippidy floppidy guy so I like the 2306 because it handle my heavy quad in those throttle ranges. People that have the "juicy" style tend to like 2207

Do you soft mount your motors or just bolt them straight to the frame?

@@VoidvaderFPV Thanks for the reply, is it better to direct mount?

Yes, soft mounting is not needed for motors anymore. The software can handle all the vibrations nowadays

Xing-e are not durable, most importantly they are not unibell, so when i crashed really frequently I had bell separated from magnets, and needed to bend it back, also bearings can die with hard crash with sand inside the motors. So i ordered Normal Xing's as on this video, i hope they will last a lot longer :)
@VoidvaderFPV
@VoidvaderFPV 3 года назад
Nice man! I actually have a set of Xing-E's now and haven't had any issues so far but I haven't crashed them like I have the regular ones. You should notice a huge difference in the durability then

@@VoidvaderFPV When i ordered brand new nazgul 5 with xing-e motors, they last pretty long, but when first motor failed, i ordered 8pcs from aliexpress, they were little bit diffrent (shorter threaded shaft), maybe fake and a lot more problematic xP
@VoidvaderFPV

They could have just been a different run and where not at good. But then again, definitely could have been fake. I hope the new ones work out for you

with all the crash still no jello? However for the motor sound, you can just change the bearing for NSK 944 or EZO 640ZZ (not 100% sure for the ezo but since its 06 type motor...). I've just break one bell but i was like full throttle during a trick , kick a branch and then full throttle to the concret xD and kick the floor exactly on the motor so... Guess everymotor would be dead. Here just the bell was bend, i replace it, and hope its good. what your feeling in flight? do you feel a punch around 40/60% of throttle?
@VoidvaderFPV
@VoidvaderFPV 4 года назад
Nope, no jello from the motors at all. I will probably change the bearings soon anyways. Yeah I've had some pretty crazy crashes and I haven't even had to change a bell. The bells have a bunch of dents from crashing into doorways, concrete benches, poles etc.

@@VoidvaderFPV interesting, exactly same feeling, under 40% it's precise, then around 60% to 70% I god the punch, which is really good and fit for me. Looking the weight and the thickness of the bell, seems very resistant. 👌

Nice one man. 2207 or 2307 are good for cinematic flying?
@VoidvaderFPV
@VoidvaderFPV 3 года назад
Thanks bro! Really it depends on your stick movements and style. Of the two I would say that the 2207's give you a smoother throttle range overall. I've just gotten used to 2306 for freestyle that I just use it for everything. 2306 just has more power in the bottom to mid throttle with helps with freestyle and heavy quads

Do You have any thought according to xing-e version of those motors?
@VoidvaderFPV
@VoidvaderFPV 4 года назад
I personally do not own any but my friend that I fly with every weekend has had 3 sets if them so I've had some experience with them. The only major difference is the bell, it is a steel shaft instead of titanium and the bell is just heavier. That being said they has the same amount of power and are still smooth. I'm honestly not sure how durable the E versions are compared to the regular ones though...he has crashed them but not a lot. They are really good motors for the price.

I totally get that...unfortunately I take chances all the time and also crash for no apparent reason, lol. I feel like they are a really good middle ground for all fpv pilots
