how do you get dota 2? looked everywhere cant find it, gotta buy it in a store or is it free to play? heard it was free to play, but thats maby false information? thx if any1 answer
Does anyone else think the spectator mode needs to allow for a larger unzoom? Though the close camera is a must for when you play for a fixed max area of vision, I think it would let spectators follow the action easier.
@CJJPro 1. I don't know about DotA 2, but in HoN you do get money for assists on kills and you only get money for last hitting a creep. 2. The straw like thingy is most likely a branch, which is 53 gold and gives 1 to all stats. 3. The difference between day time and night time is the amount of vision you have, it is a lot smaller at night allowing easier ganks. 4. Everyone levels the same pace, just some don't need it as badly so they sacrifice their exp for others.
1. Install: Steam 2. Visit the Shop-Page 3. Look at the top/right there should be a searchingbar 4. type: dota 2 5. watch 4: join the beta 6. do what they want u to do 7. Wait 4 ur key!
I've been watching a lot of these tournament games. This may be a noobish question, but why are the same heroes used almost every game? Just personal preference or is this just the meta game right now? Even though it is beta.
@mpg26 That's the number of heroes in Dota, not ported into Dota 2. There's forty-something heroes fully ported into Dota 2 right now, some of which are more viable for top-level play. Others are more suited to less coordinated teams, aka public games. Even with the few staple picks/bans that come out in most games (BM, AA, Lich, AM, etc), we've seen some unusual picks such as Tiny used with some success in this tournament.
Yeah, I was playing League of Legends for a few months, easily bashing bots in LoL on easiest with 40-0 scores almost, then I go to play on easiest difficulty in Dota 2, I get fucking pwned often, the level of difficulty in the individual games is crazy, Dota 2 is such an amazing game.
As well as LoL takes much less skill and is less frustrating so people enjoy it more rather than taking the time to get past the larger learning curve of DotA
I really never thought of that. I love the way u said "I am glad they are playing LoL so they can't ruin dota2 for myself!" its so true. I just hate it when LoL players that valve has ripped off LoL's ideas. I mean, if there wasnt the first dota, would there be a LoL? Thinking of this just makes me sick.
Are you calling Navi idiots? They also play LoL professionally as well. DotA takes a lot more skill and timing, but that doesn't mean LoL doesn't take any.
Haha yeah! Typical ES mistake when you get nervous. Echo Slam first then blink instead of the other way around. He probably mistook his hero for Sand King, Epicenter first before blink. ;)
Skill and CoD do not compute, they should change the games name to "Hide and seek of duty". Whoever sees the enemy first wins by clicking once, that's why camping is so devastating. MOBA's are absolutely all about this one word.. "positioning", and great positioning takes game knowledge in all aspects, and a fucking lot of amazing teamwork.
@djsmilieface It seems that it is you who doesn't really know everything that involves DotA, and the early game can be crucial depending on your stratergy, I really recommend you to watch the Ariana vs Dignitas matches on the Defense, after that you can inform yourselfabout early game, however, if you just want shorter and more casual gameplay, lol is for you.
i started with dota and i have to say that ur right it is way harder to play. so much about cc... and the attacks aren't that obviously... in LoL everything is bigger that even children can see what the enemy is doing... 4 example the ashe ultie is dobbel as big as her. but miranas arrow is closly big as a normal arrow... u get what im trying to explain with my badass english? =)
What is up with everyone calling Navi noob gamers today? FYI they play LoL professionally as well. And why do you think that is? Because both games are good, one just has a higher learning curve
I play DotA 2 everyday......... i also play LoL everyday.I already know what you mean, however i'm not changing my argument because you didn't prove anything against it, instead you made the excuse that I don't what i'm talking about
