I appreciate you doing this first impressions video. I'm in the Milwaukee ecosystem and thought about buying the Cordless 15MM DA Polisher, but the LE T4000 has me intrigued since this would be my first experience polishing automotive paint.

The V2 model also has a nicer speed dial and probably small other improvements in power and internals.

I have my LE under my desk as we speak, I really want the mK2 which he said should be in OB store in a month or so which kinda sucks a removable power cord would have been awesome. Wish i woulda waited..
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage 2 месяца назад
yea, i thought about that too... Shipping containers are a month easy, there can certainly be delays, ill be surprised if we see them by EOY. If we do ill order a MK2 and see how it is, and the Mk1 I would sell on second hand detailing in like a day for 150$. Try it out and see what you think, you may be totally happy with it.

@@improvedgarage literally he mentions it should be here in like a couple months. but i dont disagree with you. but said it has slightly more torque and a removable power cord. Not a big thing but being able to hang it on the wall would be awesome

I think you should try the Bosch 6 inch dual mode sander in the 6 inch model. In forced rotation it spins in the same direction as a rotary buffer makes it ideal for someone moving from random orbital like the Rupes to a rotary polisher.
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage 2 месяца назад
That sounds like a great option! I picked up the diy detail rotary for the first time last weekend and was pretty successful with it right out of the gate, Yvans videos are pretty easy to follow.

A1000 looks exactly like the max shine mini polisher which is also like the SPTA version and also available as the Adam’s Polishes mini polisher
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage Месяц назад
i dont have the max shine 1" to compare it to, but i think the LE is physically longer, it atleast looks that way from photos.

I would like to say the iBrid Nano is a great machine. BUT, it randomly shuts off with good batteries. Jim White had the same problem even with the cord. Many others have reported the same issue. I have dealt with it for a long time, but won’t purchase one again. When it works, it works fine. Jim White uses the Carbon Collective and I would consider the LE. I have the PXE80, but it’s not slim enough for many 1” applications.

Yea I had the pxe and thought the same. I’m excited to see how the 1” works out

I was considering the iBrid, the A1000 may have just slotted into that spot. We'll see when I get around to pulling the trigger.
@improvedgarage

After using the A1000, i think i may sell my nano.. They both work well, the nano is a little shorter, they use the same threads / accept the came accessories, but the LE has a little more power and is way less expensive. I also like the trigger with the lock better than the paddle.

I find it difficult for anyone to choose anything corded nowadays. Also, for those who are just starting out if you spend just a little bit more you can get the duetto which is an excellent polisher and provides more versatility. The price of the 1” LE is pretty good though but again the iBrid Nano is more versatile and offers much more than the LE. In any case I hope they do well. Side note* is it just me or does the design of their 5” look eerily similar to the Bigfoots?
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage 2 месяца назад
They definitely do look similar, I agree about corded vs cordless, i sold my corded years ago when i got my Milwaukee because i finally had a machine that was cordless and had enough power to do the job. I could understand some people not wanting to deal with batteries all day though too.

Unrelated but do you have an install video of the crew linear fixtures ? Like running power and mounting ?
@improvedgarage

I dont, i have an unboxing, and adding the dimmers, if you search Cree LS on my channel those will come up. Ill be honest its really easy. The lights come in 2 parts, the metal shell you screw to the ceiling and the light engine snaps into them. For wiring there are standard 120V hot neutral and ground wires that turn the light on and off, and dimmer wires that adjust the brightness. If you don't want dimming, you can simply not connect those and run the lights at full brightness, if you do want dimming you buy whatever dimmer you choose that supports 0-10v and connect the two wires from the light to the dimmer. Sorry that was at the beginning of the channel and i didnt record it for some reason.

@@improvedgarage I’m getting six of the 8ft lights but I only need 3 junction boxes correct ? Don’t two 8ft light connect or is it two 4ft lights connect to make an 8ft section
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage 2 месяца назад
@@Skdjiejxuje By junction box do you mean Lutron vive? You can connect any length to any length, 4 to 4, 4 to 8, 8 to 8 For the vive controllers you only need more of them if you want more “zones” or if you want to do more than 8 lights. Basically every vive will give you one controllable zone.each vive supports up to 8 amps of current. The 8’ 12000 lumen lights each use just under 1 amp. I have 2 vive controllers because I wanted 2 zones, I could have run my whole garage off of one Basically you want to run power to the vive, then go out from the vive to the first light in your “zone” then you go from that first light to the next one and so on. If you need help email me jeff@improved-garage.com and we could jump on a call or zoom or something.
