you would need to pull the gammaseal off, on a bucket without the gamma seal like my yeti, its not an issue. honestly i just spray a little APC in the bucket and rinse it out every once in a while.
Ideally, you want a dark color for a test panel since it will show the defects and the after results much better. A white colored panel is really hard to show swirls and defects on camera.
Personally I am enjoying the longer format vlogs! I can imagine they take quite some time to edit and get uploaded but the value I think is there. Overall seems you can knockout quite a few small things in one video while still making it a very casual/organic type of watching experience. Nice job and thank you again for the content!
Looking forward to your solar set up I think that has huge value imo. Of course I love to see your product reviews on polishers and I’m considering adding a rotary to my line up for home use.
Solar will be out soon. It’s a long story but the journey I started in February to get solar isn’t quite finished yet. It should be by the end of the month though.
Hey Jeff, I brought my first polisher in my life from Obsessed garage MIRKA 3" cordless angled random orbit polisher but I got the 2.5 Ah kit! Going to do a 2 step on a 2001 Toyota Solara convertible. I watch your video about the batteries weights on this polisher 2.5 Ah vs 5.0 Ah . I'm think of getting LE A1000 1 inch cordless polisher after your review videos! Naples, Florida Here! 😎
I've never had issues with P1; but, I've never used it on protected cars. It works great on unprotected paint, and even on coatings that have lost some beading. I'm thinking it could be a compatibility issue as mentioned above, it could've reacted to Drying Aid, maybe? I wouldn't use any spray and rinse sealant on a car I'll use a drying aid on, anyways.
It may be a compatibility problem for you. I used P1 on a white car and was impressed with the water behavior afterwards. I didn’t notice a haze but then it’s hard to see imperfections in white. I also liked the wheel cleaner but agree it’s not the best value. Nice thorough review. Thank you.
The Mini is a great candidate for DIY Detail Plastic Restore & Protect. Preferred applicator is actually just a small square of old MF towel ( about 2” x 2”) Thanks for the review.
The comment at the end of the video about the receiver doing room correction and cancelling out any delay introduced by the wireless transmitter was very interesting and helpful. Thanks for making and posting this product review video.
Nice video. I agree get the right wrench for the job. I ve found occasion like you mentioned where these are useful, I’ve been using a lobtex- people call them lobster a lot online, it’s good quality but I prob prefer the ktc one over it but it’s more costly. Both seem to grab well and don’t have the sloppy feel of an adjustable.
Hell of a difference in price from this and a shinemate. DA are DA regardless. As long as it last and maintains power and the variable speed dial works is what matters. I want a DA to stall on curves it is supposed to for a reason so you arent burning through. I think this thing is as good as any DA 15mm throw at a fair price
The laws are pretty well documented, an aftermarket product or change can only void a warranty if the failure was the direct result of the modification. So for example if you code your car and your seat starts falling apart, no warranty issue.. If you code your car and ruin the combi in the process, warranty void. I don't take my cars to the dealership for service, I service my vehicles myself. That being said, you can return the car to stock before taking it to the dealership if that was something you were worried about. I have had warranty work done on both my mercedes and my vw while the cars were coded without issues.
Hello. what sound settings do you have on your camera and what settings do you have on your microphone? I have the same camera and mic but can't get the sound to work well, I've been watching your latest videos and the sound is really good!
I found I needed the rode receiver at -15 and the Sony camera around -12 or it sounded awful. Play with the levels, and watch the audio level on the screen to make sure you’re not in the red all the time. If that doesn’t help let me know and I’ll try and help more
is it maybe in bypass mode? My water flow indicator lights up a few seconds after turning the water on. i dont remember what the default setting was, if its in time mode it will regen every 24 hours, but that would be really wasteful unless you were using tons of water every day. in TM mode which is recommended it regenerates at the time specified once it doesnt have enough water to make it through a day. so for example if you use 300 gpd, and it sees it only has 250 left it will regen. Mine regenerates 2-3 times per month.
My poverty / food stamp version of wash buckets, somehow manage to wash my vehicles, just like the high dollar versions in this video, and miracle of all miracles, I haven't been thrown out of the neighborhood yet !!! My buckets are $2.00 apiece. Heavy, red plastic,, 5 gallon pickle buckets, from the local submarine sandwich chain. My two bucket trolley is two free, used milk crates zip tied together, with Harbor Freight casters, bolted to the bottom. Plenty of storage in the space around the buckets (think "round peg in a square hole"). I even added a handle to steer it around with, so I don't have to bend over to maneuver them, like Matt Moreland does, with his Obsessed buckets. I think that the only things purchased new, were the grit guards, and the casters. I'm far from poor, but I'm not going to waste money, on stuff like this, because someone on RU-vid tells me how pretty it is. A more useful video would be showing people how to do things, in a more clever and less costly way. Your video is nicely produced, and your garage is wonderfully organized. I'm subscribed, and have been watching for a while.
I appreciate you subscribing and watching. My parents owned a restaurant and we also had a stack of pickle buckets in the garage for years.. I can smell them now :). I mentioned in the beginning that you can be totally effective with a homer bucket, i was for years. I think it’s great that you came up with something that works for you and saved you money. I spent years with plywood shelves (heck I still have one), built my own ro water system, used harbor freight lights for a while, my workbench is made of HF toolboxes, and i just did a video on a pretty inexpensive polisher, so i try and cover that stuff when I can. Ill keep your feedback in mind and maybe in the future i can show what one could build as an alternative option.
@@improvedgarage I watch you, Keav, Matt Josh V, and a few others. I appreciate all of you for your research, but I like Keav's practical approach to finding solutions to needs, better than most. Keep 'em coming !!! I'm gonna keep watching !!!!
Like anyone else watching this video, we all have the same struggle. I won’t be buying Overpriced Garage’s $300 bucket. Possibly an Adams dual bucket system.
I’m sorry but I’m confused by your comment.. You do know that the Adams buckets are more money than the OG ones right? The Adams double bucket is 280 and the OG double bucket is 225.. Maybe you’d prefer the seat or tool tray or drain or some other features of the Adams bucket that make it different than the competition, but I don’t understand how it’s less expensive.
For me the shipping is what kills me from purchasing from OG. I personally want to upgrade my Adam's bucket with the Ghost bucket from The Detail Division
@@improvedgarage No worries, it is like $70 just for small items. I truly hope he opens a store in Canada like he was talking about. Carzilla is great however
I think one of the biggest expenses for the og buckets is probably the gamma seal lids which most of us probably won’t need or use. Btw what were the negatives for the chemical guys bucket?
Good perspective on the gamma seal, since there is no discount purchasing the "package" you can get them without the seal and save the money. They are only 3 gallons, the casters are too small, the lid doesn't seal in any way. Do they work? sure, i used them for years. Are they a good value? I dont think so.
Thanks for sharing this video, Jeff. I appreciate you sharing the different styles and benefits of each. I did want to add that the Adam's bucket lid has rubber feet, which were designed to also be used as a kneeling pad. Also, the drain plug can be changed; they sell spare parts for it. Adam's bucket can be purchased for as low as $112 when it's on sale for 25% off. I have the pair, and I love them.
Yea i agree with this. If the Adams accessory holder and tool tray were better thought out, they could be something different and would appeal to more people i think. The bucket itself isnt bad, i actually like the lid, the accessories just feel like afterthoughts.
Tell me you didn't watch the whole video :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nn-vfXLgQgQ.htmlsi=JfHHc7d6V0BC4cT7&t=1222 "the vyper chair is a way better chair" I gave 2 reasons 1. maybe you dont have a vyper chair 2. someone else is in your garage and sits on your vyper chair.
Great video . I'm going through the same deal with my bucket situation. I bought the OG complete bucket package, great system but I find them a little too tall. I got the Oberk bucket package with 3 black wheel dollys that look really cool ,at 5 gallons they are perfect. I ended up just Alternating each system. Talk about First World problems 😂😂
Thanks for letting me know about Oberk bucket packet, I have been looking at the OG package for so long but always think they are a bit too expensive. Gotta think on it more since I tend to run out of water on my contact wash with the 5 gallon bucket.
I know humor is not the usual place your content comes from - and I appreciate your informative, fact based delivery. This may be the only vid of yours that I’ve watched that was meant to be humorous. Not that it’s any less factual or experience based - but you really made this entertaining. I think I’m going to upgrade my OG Buckets with 4” casters! Thanks for the links in the video description and thanks for the very fun and funny video.
@@improvedgarage oh I know that you said it was silly which I agree, I think if a $300 bucket makes someone happy I’m kinda jealous I’d rather get some coke n hookers
