hi there, i have been watching your videos, indeed they are helpful, I am appearing in the May/June session for First Language English and am really stressed out about my vocabulary not to say that i do know how to create sentences that is quite okay with the standard of the course, please give a tip or two for me to potentially improve my vocab in about a period of 10 to 15 days...i know i am asking for a something that seems a bit difficult to achieve but i am determined, also you have been getting chubby by every video i watch lol

Thx for your brilliant videos, passing the first lang exam all the way from france (am billingual)😁 i had my paper 1 today and am wondering whether or not I am going to be penalized for having written between 160 and 174 words on the summary writing. I made use of very good connectives, grouping ideas of the same type not chronologically, with similarly, on that note... I am confident on the marks I will be having for the reading, but will I be heavily penalized on the writing part? does my good synonym finding and fluidity compensate for my apparent lack in conciseness? This is assuming I've written 11 words a line, which is optimistic... does that only remove 1 point for my writing, or 2, or even 3 :(? Thank you in advance, and keep it up, you are a lifesaver and I can't thank you enough.
and also, I wrote a whole page for the mini writer's effect, as the paragraph was pretty bland in analysis and i wanted to get 3 points. will i be penalised?
hii, at least how many words are we supposed to write for the summary? And, is it okay if you start Paper 1 from the last question which is the extended writing question?
I personally don’t see any benefit from starting with Q3… I feel like you need to tackle the ‘easier’ questions to give you a bit of confidence and to kick start your brain. 120 words for summary; you can go under or over slightly.

I have a question. After each efl exam, my teacher ends up lecturing me on how I always exceed the word count, but you've also mentioned here that it doesn't matter much. So really i want to ask is would this apply to the more recent papers, like 2024-2025 f/m ?
You need to make suitable inferences based on the explicit ideas you have located from the text. The voice you adopt needs to sound like the character you are being asked to assume.
You can add information on the spare pages at the back if needed.... As long as you make a note of it. But a simple * close to where you are editing is fine, too.
My dear sister, Not funny I didn't laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I'm not saying this to be funny I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You've single handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I'm so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. You're lucky I still have the slightest of empathy for you after telling that joke otherwise I would have committed every war crime in the book just to prevent you from attempting any humor ever again. We should put that joke in text books so future generations can be wary of becoming such an absolute comedic failure. Im disappointed, hurt, and outright offended that my precious time has been wasted in my brain understanding that joke. In the time that took I was planning on helping kids who have been orphaned, but because of that you've waisted my time explaining the obscene integrity of your terrible attempt at comedy. Now those kids are suffering without meals and there's nobody to blame but you. I hope you're happy with what you have done and I truly hope you can move on and learn from this piss poor attempt to make me laugh.
@IGCSESuccess hi! i have my english ig in a few days and i have noticed that i lose a lot of marks when it comes to content. also, i am struggling to select 10 relevant ideas for the summary question any advice?
There will be usually a little over 10 ideas to select, so make sure you comb through the text thoroughly. Think about the key words in the summary and how the ideas in text b link to this. You don't need 10 btw. At least 7 is sufficient. A range of ideas is needed... This doesn't necessarily mean 10.
