M47's are a heavy tank and hold up fairly well. They dont have the fancy ceramic armor of an M1, but its not like they a LAV or something. They were the best technology available when they came out. And are still in use by several countries today.

Arnold tells some great tales of how he learned to drive the tankin his book and how he had some great mishaps with it -like accidentally driving through a wall in the army garage and crazy tank races with some of his squad hanging onto the outside of his tank! Made me laugh out loud!
