simply a masterclass on how to wire coilpacks.

Thanks! I appreciate the compliment. I was feeling bad for leaving out the voltage drop and power calcs I did. But that stuff can get boring.

I am in the planning stages of wiring up my pdm and this is so damn helpful!

Thanks! I looked at a bunch of those to draw inspiration.

I wonder what performance benefit running 2 or more spark plugs would net. Starting the flame front from several locations reduces burn time. That should result in higher cylinder pressure by halfway down, increasing torque. To develop the same pressure by TDC, ignition would be closer to TDC (and the stock timing map wouldn't work). I also realize 4 plugs per cylinder (1/2 way between the center and outer wall) would require a new head. You are the only one I know with the engineering skills to understand this.

Anything that can speed up the burn will be great. I have seen dual okus be used on older engines to get them to meet modern emissions standards ( mercedes did this on a few engines)

I just don't have a way to do that without making a new head I think.

Does those work with stock ecus?

They will on some cars. Depends on the car and what dwell the stick exu commands. And if it's logic level control.

Why all wires same color, sounds like bad plan....ask me how I know. Great video BTW

I have a printer that can print labels onto heat shrink to label the wires. That's the plan!

@@michaelpeterson2155 nah. it was never a problem on 100+ pin cannon plugs in aircrafts. Label them right and it is ok and CHEAPER to run one color.

@michaelpeterson2155 You realize that F1 cars/rally cars are typically ALL white conductors? It's an industry standard.

@@michaelpeterson2155 Like it or not, it's still an industry standard in motorsport racing.
