I wonder what performance benefit running 2 or more spark plugs would net. Starting the flame front from several locations reduces burn time. That should result in higher cylinder pressure by halfway down, increasing torque. To develop the same pressure by TDC, ignition would be closer to TDC (and the stock timing map wouldn't work). I also realize 4 plugs per cylinder (1/2 way between the center and outer wall) would require a new head. You are the only one I know with the engineering skills to understand this.
Anything that can speed up the burn will be great. I have seen dual okus be used on older engines to get them to meet modern emissions standards ( mercedes did this on a few engines)
