This is a test with ONE LA500 compressor by IGS Audio on Acoustic Guitar, i recorded with a couple of se electronics se8 and a couple of heritage audio HA73JrII. Then i used 2 One LA 500 as mix buss outboard!

SE electronics SE8 -- Heritage Audio HA73JRII -- RME ADI2 ( via ADAT in Apollo Twin X )
No eq, no plugin comp, only a limiter to rise up the volume!

I use Distressor hardware for different purposes also opto compression emulation for guitar and vocals. But this IGS LA500 sounds very good, more close to the LA2A deal than a distressor. There is nothing like this unit built in the 500 series following as much as possible the original circuit. I added it on my list of future acquisition. Thanks for the video!

I am using these two devices on the same box. I use the Pream Heritage 73 JR II for recording, and I use the IGS One La 500 for compression during the mixing process. However, I cannot turn off the IGS One La during recording, and the VU meter light remains on. Will this have any negative impact on the IGS One La? I only use it after recording is finished

Same thing , meters on IGS are always working but the bypass switch is bypassing electronic circuit , I got tubes to replace ane that switch completely bypassed compressors !

Grazie Alberto! Il limit agisce sul ratio mettendo Ratio infinito! Devo ancora provare a usarlo come limiter a tutti gli effetti giocando con il Gain!

@@albertoziliottomusic se mi dici così presumo allora funzioni tipo un brickwall limiter, adatto per il mastering ma anche per "ottimizzare" le tracce. Io lo faccio via sw con SPL Iron oppure con Ozone limiter.....storie di smanettamenti vari :)

@@AlbertoCaltanella si penso sia al pari di un limiter come ozone o L1 ma con il colore del compressore , non so devo ancora smanettarci sul setup limiter
