very cool. I just picked up a set of the factory dual spacers off a tractor I bought from a guy at one of the tractor shows I attended. They came off a parts 100 and promptly went on my personal 100. They definitely are wide though.
@@austinlumb4454 yea I’m probably done for this year. I have quite a few to work on. . I did buy a JD LI to match my L and LA. Haven’t picked it up yet.
Wow, that's a nice dually set up! Can you say what those clips are on each side of the battery? I see yours appear to be holding the battery in place, but are not locked down? My 124 has these clips, but missing the bar across the front of the battery.
Thanks! Those latches go to the hood to hold it down. . The 104 105 124 and 124 had the hood latches. Most of the latch clips are usually missing from the hoods. The battery just has 2 J-bolts and the 1 inch angle. I buy sticks of aluminum angle from tractor supply and make my own usually.
@@JnP-Restorations That is a great idea to make your own battery hold down. I'll give that a shot. And now I know that the clips are for latching the hood down. Luckily, both of mine are still there, and thanks for those tips. I bought my 124 for $350 in pretty good running and appearance condition. I gave the guy an extra $100 for his IH model #1 steel garden cart. Both belonged to his dad. I believe my 124 is a 1967, and it has the fiberglass pan seat that I've heard is desirable. Fortunately, Nel's Tractor in Pine Valley, NY is not far away. They're a Cub Cadet sales and service center. I learned quite a bit about the 124 with its 42" mower deck on my 1st visit at Nel's to buy new belts for the mower. Do you know of any good videos showing how to mount a CW-36 Snow blower to a 124 Cub?
@@SPCLPONYGood score on the cub and parts!! I haven't seen any vids on the 36. It's not too bad those. Kinda falls into place if you have all the parts. I did mine off pics and it was pretty easy.
