I just picked up a 1981 782 like this one except I did not get the hubcaps and someone had taken the IH emblem and the grill but I did get the mower deck and the snow blade. I am going to making a dual wheel conversion to my 782 thanks to your Video of your conversion on your Cub. I also with the purchase of the 1981 782 got a 84 782 with the series 2 motor. The 81 runs great and is ready for work. I have to rebuild the carburetor on the 83 and then that should be ready as well. Thanks for these Videos! Just subscribed and looking for more. Thanks
I got a 782 today. What is the consensus on ethanol free gas. The seller showed me how he shuts off the gas line and lets the carburetor burn all the gas if he is not going to run it for a while. Thanks for any thoughts
I only run non ethanol gas in my tractors. If you use it every day you can use regular gas, But if it sits for any length of time say a few months non ethenal is the way to go.
That's a beautiful original tractor. I figured it had to be one of the last IH-built 782's, they switched hands in April 1981. I'd like to find another spread-frame Cub since I sold my 1811.
