Add a bottle of Motor Medic lead substitute. Then watch how good she runs. My 706G falls flat on it's face without it. Trust me, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
If I may these spark plugs Autolite 3116-4PK Copper Non-Resistor Spark Plug ! Highly recommend. You can have great looking spark plugs and gap be wrong and or plug wire or anything ignition. It does not sound like a valve lash adjustment to me. More then likely it would have blow by or at least smoke. Tune it up. Save that much in gas trying limp it around.
Good deal, sounds good 👌🏼. Some days you win, and some days you’re a horse’s ass.... which was me today. I go to do some bushhogging, hop in the 1066, not even a click. Same thing happened 3 days ago, so I charged both batteries separately overnight and it fired up like nothing. Batts only 4 months old... so today was a big surprise. Just ran it Saturday. Put a charger back on it, doesn’t show that it’s taking much charge... try it again, nothing. Went in the house to get something to drink and let it charge awhile, go back out to the shed and just barely turned over. Put it on boost and STILL nothing. Put a meter on it, left battery showing 13.2... WTH! Right battery checked good too! After killing an hour, I finally think to wiggle the cables, and the right positive cable is loose as crap. Cranked right up. Rookie move, hour wasted, but those batteries are hot now lol
Question, do you think the timing is a little high on distributor . I’ve had them run a little weird reset the distributor and she would get better . Just a thought 💭. You do like you want I’m only here to share my experiences that I’ve had for the past 40 something years out of 59 years of having these machines
Great to see you got it figured out. I’m looking forward to seeing the hydro filter and yes it still a miss might look at the plugs to see if one is fouling.
Huge improvement from last Monday. Getting that filter changed and I think you will be back in action! Start soaking that steering wheel bolt lol then if yah need to take it off it might come decent, 😀 .
Pressure light on the steering is a bit odd i would def get the filter changed and even add an extra 2 gallons of fluid over full is the trick i found to help . With the miss your carb settings are going to be off lol
It is for sure. The previous owner told me it had low compression on two cylinders next to each other and thought it needed a head gasket. I suspect it needs the head redone too but it's running for now and that all I have.
