Yeah. And IHG cards aren’t great and their loyalty program is avg, at best (could argue it’s mediocre). and their promos aren’t usually enticing like most other brands.

I got the same card/offer a few weeks ago. I didn’t get the instant approval; I had to call them as they instructed. They asked a few questions and I was finally approved. I’ve just hit the 4000/140K milestone and I’m working towards the full 7000/175K.
Wish me luck I’m technically exactly 5/24 right now, but I’m gonna yolo take a swing at it. There are data points of them being lax with biz cards and even sapphire cards when there’s a promo. 🤞🏼 Gonna pay down all my Chase Balances this week before applying too. Ill be at 4/24 two weeks after this offer ends 😂 oh well.
New subscriber here but am loving your content! I have heard of some datapoints indicating that the IHG business card does count towards your 5/24 status even though it is a business account. Have you heard of this or do you know if this happened to you? Thanks!
Thank you so much, really appreciate your support! You are correct, 5/24 status only applies to Personal Cards and so the IHG Biz wouldn’t add to your 5/24 count. However I did apply and get approved when I was under 5/24, and typically you’d still need to be to get approved. Thanks!
