IIM A is already no. 1 clg for partiality .. Even in final composite scores they want 85 frm science guy 75 frm commerce and 65 frm arts guy .. They don't even see which board are you from what is avg score there ..

Same goes for grad score as well... They take students till 80th percentile according to grad score in their academic diversity pool... They don't consider the fact that the student is from private college or state university affiliated college (these college don't get high percentage with comparison to private ones)

The onus should be on placecom members and IIM administration to verify documents. They get fuckin paid to do this stuff. Student bichara 25 lakh ka fees de, presentation kare, exams de, raat k 3 baje sip ka interview de aur tumhre insecurity k vjh se should get a damn email from a school he studied 10-15 years ago? What if it's a govt school in a village? The teachers there still use Nokia

It’s much more difficult for the college to go through the verification process of hundreds of students than for us to collect the data for just ourselves. But they still choose to do it. Must be imp for the brand name and integrity i guess.

I would have to disagree on this. The process is not that tedious as it seems out to be. My college asked for verification before letting us sit for the placement process (bachelors). Usually even in schools and colleges you do have some sort of proof. Like you said if that guy became the head boy, he must have had received a badge and a certificate with it. With employment you get your salary slips, offer letters etc. if you take care of these things, make a folder and collect them it’s not a problem. Just have to be a little responsible. And references are the norm for mbas abroad, with increased competition this will become the norm in india so better start catching up.

What a total nonsensical justification this is ? Didi aapke hisaab se public ko 9-10 saal purana documents sambhal ke rakhna hain jo koi kidhar puchhta bhi nahin hain. WHY WOULD YOU KEEP THAT BADGES AND CERTIFICATES WHICH HAS NO SIGNIFICANT VALUE IN FUTURE WHATSOEVER. AS IF THAT'S A BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR DEGREE THAT YOU NEED TO KEEP WITH YOU WHOLE LIFE. OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE WILL KEEP DOCUMENTS, MARKSHEETS & CERTIFICATES WHICH ARE SIGNIFICANT AND RELEVANT IN THE FUTURE....... AND ABOUT THE CATCHING UP THING YOU SAID. WE DON'T NEED TO FOLLOW EVERY STUPID NORM THEY'LL COME UP IN THE FUTURE.

The whole point is that those badges and certificates are not enough as a proof anymore. There is a letter in a specific format addressed to whichever IIM that what you claimed is actually true. You have to approach everyone to get that for all the things that you claim even if you have a certificate for it that you got in the past.
