Glitches like this are absolutely normal. There's literally no reason to insult a faculty infront of all the students for such a small issue. He should have been a bit more cooperative instead of just leaving the meeting. Toxic.
Extreme lack of respect and self-centered mentality. There is a place and time for everything. Public ridicule for a technical glitch not directly associated with a non-technical person(Dhang sir here), is not solving anything. He is like the "Donald Trump of IIT KGP"
More than 500 students and some profs were there to listen to him. All were get fooled. His very right was to address this COVID-related talk; this incident is his arrogance; this is not a proper way to earn respect by scolding profs in front of students and showing his power, only for the technical glitch of ms teams
Such glitches in today's world are so normal!! Sad to see a man with such a HUGE EGO leading a premier institute of India ---- typical of our bureaucrats - living a two decades behind everybody else!!!

Very nice ! We need more professors exactly like him to completely ruin the future of Indian education. 90 percent professor in colleges are like this only. Itna kis baat ka attitude be The to tum bhi student hi ek time pe.
Exactly brother. There is a lot of arrogance in the teachers of government colleges. Myself from a government college IET Lucknow and the professors here are so arrogant , When they talk us We feel like We are not students, We are Prisoners..
@@nileshsingh7722 right ! And their arrogance is directly proportional to the rank of that govt. college. Thousands of young creative minds take admissions in top govt. colleges every year but their creativity dies in front of the ego of the teachers. Words like "DEAN/HOD" are the most scary words for the students. They can ruin a life in a second.
Having a degree doesn't make a man educated, a good heart, respect for everyone(irrespective of seniority) and a bit of manners do show your education. Hurted by his immature behaviour.

We don't know that maybe some student was actually doing this in purpose or not. Please don't judge anyone based on this last moment of a 2 min video. Connection failures are also frequent for my IIT Jodhpur classes. Maybe the guy coordinating is having a bad net or some guy pissed by the director is playing a prank here.

Even in the IIT in which I study, DIRECTOR was disconnected for 20 mins. He politely mailed everyone to stay in the meeting and continued after 20 mins
No wonder that education has taken backbench in our country. The director is a teacher first and then an administrative person. Surprised to see his attitude towards his fellow professors, let alone him being a mentor to the students. Result of hierarchy and Babu culture.

That's classic bureaucratic behaviour. Blame whoever is visible for some bugger's mistake. The director is a failure. He is more interested in finding out who muted rather than make his point.
No wonder. He is also one of us who is not ready to tolerate even sily things of his subordinate. Nice example of feudal mind set. God bless you some wisdome to him and so to control his ego.
This guy is so rude and childish A simple mistake and he acts like this. Then you shouldn't take students taken for granted too. #Postponegate2022 You're putting the lives of nearly 9 lakh examinees in danger - that is ridiculous to say the least

In my opinion the Director could've let this slide and continued talking about the important COVID related issues of the students. But he chose not to :( I hope he learns his mistake.
I feel he is not worthy director. Instead he should be fired from IIT. If such persons prevail in IITs, IIT can never get recognised in global indexing of University rankings.

This director assumes that he knows everything and since he have bad mood and gave him the position he thinks and assumes that I'm the law and authority but he is not alsohis attitude shows how weak 👎👎he is
Who so ever did it, the director should not fool the 500+ audience. Everyone has invested time in attending the program atleast he should have thought abt the people before leaving . "Its a keen head weight" and "monotony".
@@demonslayer-w2lundjhjhhv8vuyei And?? See the mere arrogance you are showing in the name of institution. For me education ka matlab ye nehi main IIT crack ki ya nehi. Being educated also mean you should know how to behave. Look maybe im not from IIT but i am closely associate with academia. I am persuing phd bro. I know how the thing works. This professor may be highly educated in terms of academic achievements but lack morality and ethics.
@@antaradassharma1399 chor bhai there whole life revolve around only entrance exam only, don't take seriously. in reality they are fucked up from brain...
Prof.Dhang is very good professor of Civil Engineering he deliver RCC in NPTEL which almost unmatchable now a day ......director have high degree of arrogant.......love you Dhang sir
These so called professor feels himself as dictator, whereas he dont even the functions of teams online meeting. Mr Director its easy to put anger on every now and then, but it takes courage to accept abnormalities and serenity for the things which is not under your control. I learnt a big chapter, I am in my 30s but when I will be at that post will never demotivate my team like this. Top of that, it was online so got viral, imagine how brutal he might be offline.

The pressure on the director is very much visible. After all, one cannot be at peace after putting the lives of million aspirants at stake - when several other exams falling in the same period have been postponed, why not GATE?
Respected Administrator of channel, I am covid positive student and iit Kharagpur is not allowing covid positive students to appear in gate . please help us in postponing gate.#postponegate2022

My dear Director u cannot also take students from different colleges appear in gate 2022 during the covid peak and for granted come down from your ego it's not professional behavior
Oh god!!Now, I feel embarrassed as I thought maturity comes with age. A person calling himself director and insulting his fellow professor he could resume as soon as issue was fixed but this man well I have no words for him. Really feeling sorry for Prof Dhang
Sad to see this... Prof Dhang is the GOD of civil engineering especially RCC when it comes to teaching..So much of respect to him..so sad with this behaviour :(
Yeah i agree IIT KGP directors ego is bigger than his own college students, instead of choosing to support his students who have tried so hard to get admission in IIT KGP for good career opportunity he chooses to unlease his anger on teachers and students. It surely reflects on why the top rank students choose Bombay and Delhi instead of KGP. A failure on his part as a director. Ministry should consider someone who is dedicated to students and more understanding towards them.
This is not about Bombay and Delhi or Kolkata this is a problem prevailing all over the country. Try and understand the point beforw commenting BS or save yourself some braincells dont even comment just watch and leave😂 ridiculous.
IIT Bombay has a very humble director, prof Subashish Chaudhary Ignoring 1% , rest 99% teachers and staff I saw at IIT B were humble to the core, No doubt why it is top choice for top rankers, may God bless all colleges with staff like IIT B ❤
Most of the people here are not from IIT KGP. I am. Let me tell you the truth - the professors here have become extremely lazy and unproductive, but on the other hand they demand perfection from their students and are very harsh with them. Not only that, they unnecessarily hinder the revolutionary measures of the good professors who want to do something (eg - prof Mrigank Sharad). The new director was sent to rectify the situation. It's good he is giving a taste of their own medicine to the professors.
This chutiya director is from the cadre of directors who are least bothered about academia and are just rss puppets. Modi is installing these nut jobs across the board to completely destroy IITs I think Ambani will amp up digital education in next 5 years
What is the Made-in-India alternative to such web-meeting applications? We are #2 in IT, and so, we should be able to create one better than Zoom, Microsoft, Cisco, and Google. We will need that someday soon.
We were supposed to hope indian higher education institutions will increase their standards in future. But seeing this I think it will still take decades.
They are using Microsoft teams for the session and it's a common issue in Teams. People are getting muted for no reason. It's just a system glitch he shouldn't have left the meeting like this 😐
Seems like he is Taking the position of a director as granted..... Not the way a leader should behave... Very negative and toxic message to people looking forward to hold that position in future... IITs are know for their work not for this nonsense attitude..

For COVID -19 third wave prediction, GATE aspirants is good trial model~ Director IITKGP 😂 Chacha Enginner screw driver lekar bane hai , har chiz me ghussa kar try karke Engineering samjhte the😂
Now we know the reason why this failure of a teacher is not postponing GATE. For him, his EGO is larger than life itself. By not postponing GATE exam, he is taking the lives of students across the nation for granted.
His EGO was hurt. Even the other professor held his colleague accountable but wanted to continue. He certainly has 20-50 times more degree than me but is egoistic in nature I think.

The problem is that they forget that they were also profs before they were given the position of Director. Once they do become director they think others as mere workers and that they themselves are the "Director"
damn this dude is petty. Directors are filled with humility and loved by students. He should’ve stood his ground, laughed the technical snag off using his presence of mind/wit and carried forward the presentation in order to cover up for it.
Having studied at a premium institute, this is absolutely common. These IIT IIM Profs have massive ego and they will reprimand anyone and everyone to satisfy their ego

Open letter 1. You want a well organised system just to coduct a webinar/seminar/or whatever it is . 2. Yet you except lakhs to students to travel thousands of kms to give a totally unorganised exam conducted under your supervision. Please review things when it matter to you & when it matters to others. Person seating at such a prestigious position dont have basic skills to control his anger. Such a pity. A leader should be accomodative and should know how to guide situations rather than pinpointing

I'm from NITK our director is very humble and understanding person. He should be aware of the hurdles of online platform. I don't know whether the students were intentionally troubling him or not, but he seems very egoistic tbh .
Director have shown disgusting behaviour.. These connectivity problems are normal in the online meetings but doesn't mean that you scold on the faculties of institution in front of students. I hope he will understand his mistake in the future.
