"I exist for Arishem" I LOVE THAT LINE. Fortunately Arishem sees that when goes through the memories of the Eternals he captured. Ikaris is his most loyal Eternal, he should be revived.
Kingo says “You don’t turn your back on your family.” Kingo didn’t turn his back on his family but he did walk away before the final battle began, he wasn’t part of it. I like Kingo but I wish he was there in the end to help fight.
But he was against what they were fighting for. Its like a family member against someone in the family having an abortion but still loving after and even before its done but isn't there during the process to comfort.
@@TheDCbiz Yeah. It's a shame Kingo wasn't in the final fight but his actions and motivations line up. He ultimately believes in Arishem's mission, BUT he was unwilling to hurt his family to accomplish it. Therefore, his only choice was to abstain from fighting.

The fact that so many different things happened like the Eternals choosing to support one another, choosing to not support either side, choosing to fight, choosing to stay on Earth, choosing to leave, becoming human, and even some dying. It’s wild how their character development was. Everyone had their own unique ways of handling the situation.
@ihave3dollars154 The critics were just being too harsh. The film did have a bit of dragging with its runtime but it was highly entertaining and each character did well with Makkari and Druig stealing the show for me.
@ihave3dollars154 They didn't need more development, the audience needed more time to see that development. Introducing all the characters, letting us get to know them, seeing their arcs, and running through the plot structure was too much to jam into a single film. Should have been a series. The same story told over 8-10 hour long episodes would have been AMAZING. Think how much more we'd know about them, how much more nuance and character and world building could have been done. It's not that they did a bad job with the time allotted, it's that the time allotted wasn't nearly enough for what the characters deserved.
they are all heroes, even Ikaris. They just have different perspectives, but all good ones. you can argue the ones trying to stop the emergence are selfish.
not rly "selfish", bc they were protecting innocent lives... sacrifice should be voluntary, not forced. Celestials should already find a different solution to grow their race, but they were just emotionless and didn't cared much. Maybe now they will.
@@vitcher3507 again, the eternals didn’t know that. All they knew was that stopping the emergence would save earth, but indirectly kill billions of other planets with life. They were protecting the innocent, but indirectly also killing other innocents; it’s selfish that they weren’t looking at the greater good.

When I saw this in the movie theater I was deeply surprised that Ikaris already knew about the emergence and that he killed Ajak because she told him about the real reason why they were on Earth after they left Babylon and that she and the other Eternals are trying to prevent the emergence of tiamut.
I honestly understood Phastos but Ikaris as well because they were literally defying their God. If God gave you instructions to do something would it be easy for you to disregard them or would you trust his plan?

Everyone lived happy except Ikaris, he did not want to tell them the truth an ruin their lives, why is that pathetic?? Ikaris was suffering since the moment Ajak told him the truth, he even left Sersi because if he would have been with her, he would inevitable tell her the truth and ruin her life...

Neither Sersi nor Druig were the ideal choices for the Unimind. If the Eternals selected Makkari as the center of the Unimind, she could have vibrated Tiamut through the Earth. That way, both, Tiamut and Earth would have survived, no casuality needed.
According to quantum physics, the universe is not made of particles, but vibrations. If an object temporarily vibrates at the frequency of air, it temporarily gets the properties of air, like the ability to pass through solids. Speedsters have the ability to vibrate themselves and objects at a frequency they choose. The Flash can phase through walls. Reverse Flash can pull the heart of his enemy via phasing without crushing the heart. So the Unimind should give Makkari enough power to phase Tiamut at the frequency of air and push him off the earth.
How did the Deviants find out about the Emergence on the other planets? The Deviants were smart as hell low-key because they only attacked the intelligent life to prevent Emergences from happening and that's why the Eternals were made but the Eternals on earth only found out because Arishem told Sersi. The Deviants were intelligent enough to figure out about the Emergence and how to prevent it from happening. I really hope they explore this more in the future.
nope. the deviant is animal race that made for clearing the Hostile of a planet so the planet will have civilization. the movie show that the very first intelegence deviant is Kro. even Kro say that his race is just try to survive, but the celestial design make deviants need to perish after they done the clearing

So how can Krow be the first and only Deviant to find out if they were killing the intelligent life on planets all over the universe for millions of years? If we go by your logic the Eternals would have never been created because Krow just recently found out about the Emergence. The flaw that Arishem was referring to was them somehow finding out about the Emergence so they started killing the intelligent life.

You have to remember they may be animals but they are Cosmic animals meaning their very different than any regular animal even those on other planets.

I think it still had too much of that Disney/marvel levity. Why can't they do something like Andor. Just completely serious. Fox did it with Logan. DC does it with Batman and even Joker. Even Netflix did it with Daredevil.
I hope The sequel gets Better than the first ikaris comes back with a longer hair and a comic accurate suit! Ikaris rose from his mistakes to become a Better Hero.... 😢 The fird tone he flies too close to the sun ! But a Rebirth would do!
Wish there was a whole movie like this from Marvel that was based off of the strongest of the group turns on his team and doesn’t help them like ge did and just try’s to destroy them and does all but a few
Y'know, I kinda skipped Eternals after hearing about how it was received and figuring I could just watch it later if it became important, but seeing this is giving me second thoughts... I'm gonna check it out, if only for their character dynamics.
Yeah it’s a very character and story driven movie but it’s really good. A lot of fans wanted another big action spectacle of a movie and Eternals wasn’t that. The characters drove the story and didn’t just stand waiting for the plot to happen.
Ikaris does not deserve to be a leader because he always follows orders and never thinks for himself, plus he's not very bright he just confesses his crimes to the whole team.
"You won't succeed against me." Uhhh I'm pretty sure everyone else can hold you off until Kingo has charged up enough cosmic energy to blast ya damn head off.
I feel bad for these marvel heroes cause some of them turned on each other, a couple of them died and all of the sudden they all separated from each other. I just wish that they all sticked together like a family.
I feel like one of the few people who actually liked the Icarus twist, but thought Ajax’s death was unnecessary/too soon. Gilgamesh dying was sad, but in many ways he represented the importance of familial relationships between the Eternals. His death parallels how all of them are strangers to each other now and live very independent lives.
I exist for Arishem. Man this is good. Richard Madden is the perfect cast for the role of Ikaris. I hope to see him again in the role of Ikaris in future.
Ikaris is a soldier willing to complete his mission & do anything for his cause. He believes in the righteousness of the Celestials, that the birth of a Celestial is worth the sacrifice of billions because a single Celestial would go on to create trillions more life forms.
The film is basically a metaphor for space abortion. Ikaris is against them aborting tiamut. He chooses to enduce its birth from Earth despite it killing Earth in the process. He's also a space god made robot angel so he doesn't really feel life on earth is above disobeying his robot god.
The way I perceived is that Ikaris has been hiding the truth from everyone after Ajak told him, Ikaris even stayed away from Cersie as a result and at the end Ajak changes her mind and tries to stop emergence and Ikaris had been hiding the truth for centuries at this point living alone believing in Ajak to let Taimut rise, so he goes against Ajak and let's emergence happen otherwise all those centuries alone staying away from family would be pointless. The emergence had become his purpose for centuries.
@@nomaana75 Well put, Maybe Ikaris was even against the emergence in the beginning but was persuaded by Ajax to comply which he did out of respect for her seniority & wisdom & isolated himself from the others because he couldn’t bear lying to Sersi & the others face for centuries. Then when she did a 180• Ikaris felt angry & betrayed that she was saying that all that isolation was for nothing.
If we're talking about sentient creation there's only one right that could grant the creator the right to judge, to punish and to exterminate - the right of the supreme power. The creation has a right to defend it's life and will and if the creator can not inflict the control - the creator have no rights.
What’s the point of 10 eternals when ikaris can best 9 of them by himself…man they sure made them all look so weak they wouldn’t pose a threat to any of the hero’s or villains already in the mcu…movie was deff a big miss 🤦♂️

This movie is such a great example of how writers and producers can ruin all the hard work that went into making this movie, such a slap in the face to all the people that worked their hardest and did their best whilst the writers just use AI or some shit to make up this crap
I don't understand if the eternals were created solely for the extermination of deviants and they are forbidden to interact with people, then why are there children, women and the disabled among them. The Celestials were supposed to make 10 million icaris and send them to earth
I think the issue with this movie is most of the characters motivation and backstory doesn't fit well Phastos: Witnessing human destroy each other during the bombing in 1945. He even said human does not worth saving. And then, he's the one who has family of his own despite hating human. He should've been the one who agree with Ikaris and Arishem Kingo: Spend most of his time with human in acting career. He even has a human friend but suddenly he's the one who agree with Ikaris to wipe out the human? He didn't even fight to stop the emergence. This doesn't make sense. He should've been the one who's trying to stop the Arishem's plan because of his love for human Ajak: She hould've been the main villain of this movie along with Ikaris. That way she'll get more screentime. Afterall, this is her mission from the very beginning and she did this many times before They should've divided them into two groups: The heroes (The earth lovers) Sersi Makkari Kingo Druig Gilgamesh The villains (The Arishem's believers) Ajak Ikaris Sprite Phastos Thena (Mahd W'ary should've been a good reason for her to be in this team)
