They never truly tap into Sersi's full potential in this movie but they do show a glimpse of what it can become at the end of the movie. The fact she could transmute a Deviant into a tree with a single use of her powers when all the heavy hitters were showing either struggle or took longer to fend off the rest shows how powerful she truly is.
their logic / direction triggered my non-existent PTSD. If this was your average manga episode / movie, that would be the momentum they needed and defeat them like a domino effect. Western direction has this plague where they often barely win / lost if not often a Pyrrhic victory.
God dang it. Why is the only character I loved in this film the one to get killed halfway through and with the least amount of screentime minus Ajak. Some of the others are fine, but nobody came close in likability to Gilgamesh.
What’s worse is that Gilgamesh get killed before the entire Eternals team was even reunited. Remember that he dies before the team finds Phastos and Makkari
In my opinion, it would've been better if they just made it into a series just like what they did to our other favorite characters. It felt a little bit rushed for me. 8-10 episodes with these actors? HECK YEAH!
@@ilovejeffhardy3906 each episode could focus on a different eternal or two and then the last 2 episodes would be them figuring out how to stop the emergence
Spoiler warning now. This was definitely a planned/orchestrated attack by Ikaris. He knew full well he would not be able to confront his entire family, as long as Gilgamesh survived. Gilga’s strength alone surpassed Ikaris. His death was very unfortunate, because he was the strongest. But it just goes to show the deviant used Thena as a weakness to overcome Gilga. That sucks
I don't think he planned this, it felt more like he didn't realize at the beginning how dangerous the deviants would be. It seems like it was planned by Kro, the one who killed Gilgamesh and was showing intelligence even before he became humanoid
They Have already confirmed that Ikaris is the Strongest Eternal. He didn't wanted wanted any of them to die, thats why he hold back in last fight. He let Makkari, Thena Phastos live. He could have killed them in that fight. Gilgamesh is no match for him.
They needed a plot where Gilgamesh and Thena was out of the equation. Gilgamesh dying and Thena having these blackouts. Because if the two worked together along with the others, even if Ikaris was the most powerful, he wouldn't be able to win against them all
6:59-7:20 Never been much of an Angelina Jolie fan, but her acting was amazing this scene. I could really connect to Thena’s pain and feel her devestation
Best version of gilgamesh tbh, with big e from Warhammer 40k being a close second despite all the tyrannical murder and holt fanaticism , hail the emperor of mankind, the emperor protects 😂
I like the part when Sersi asked Ikaris why did he leave and a flying deviant just grabs him flying away before she could get an answer from him. That was hilarious 😂😆😂😆😂😂😂
They all shoukd have been stronger and fiercer in this movie. None of them should have died. They have lived so long that these few Deviants should have been a piece of cake.
Can never understand why Ikaris would just let the deviants absorb Ajak's essence and become so powerful, he could have gotten himself killed too, pretty stupid tbh
He didn't know that the Deviants would absorb their powers and be able to use them afterwards.. The first time Kro was seen to heal himself there was genuine shock on Ikaris face when he saw him do it, the same shock that both Sersi and Sprite displayed.
The only way to kill him that would make sense was for him to be protecting Thena or the others because I can't see him losing in a fight based off strength.
Many wants to compare if the eternals are stronger than Thor Odinson, But actually Thor can kill all that deviants alone.. ikaris the strongest among them was even having a hard time against those deviants
Only Thor fans want to make comparisons. You guys do that with every heavy hitter. As if you think he's the gold standard. It's a gut reaction from your type. This is an Eternals movie. Not a Thor movie
I would’ve love to see a comic accurate Eternal‘s movie it’s sad that we didn’t get what we wanted this movie is so far from the Eternal’s in the comics it could even be it’s own thing
Don’t care what anyone says this movie was great for me if this movie came out before endgame I feel people would have enjoyed it more y’all are to spoiled
This film was definitely my favorite of phase 4 (so far), and was much more entertaining than some of the things they’ve been putting out recently. Definitely not the best film in the mcu but I think if it had come out at some point around the release of Doctor Strange in 2016, then people would’ve been much more accepting towards it.
@@saint7787 celestials are universal, strange is dealing with multiversal conflicts. Strange fucked Dormammu over, who is arguably more powerful than Arishem. So nah, Celestials are just below his pay grade.
This was one of thr few fight scenes in the movie. It was cool to see powers but they could have used more action sequences and used characters to their abilities
Apex predators: Animals that are top of food chain and have no one hunting them. That is what the Deviants shapeshift into and Gilgamesh and Ko, they both are Hybrid. I think a Hybrid impregned a human which form in her stomach the first Mutant. Maybe 30 thousand years ago.
Idk why people didn’t like this movie sure it wasn’t a copy from the comics but the cast was great and cinematography and cgi was 10/10 there’s definitely sub plots to capitalize from this movie and it can go so much further… also the world goes crazy over knowing P.P is Spider-Man but at the end the world saw a huge ass celestial come to earth and then dipped and it’s never brought up again in future movies or shows… like it’s nothing, could have been brought up in Hawkeye or She-Hulk or Shang- Chi or Wakanda Forever. Also note that it was Ikaris’ plan to use the deviants to kill some of his teammates but he was getting worked over and lowkey was scared to be caught slippin’ thinking to himself (oh shit this is my plan but I’m about to die like this?) lmao 🤣💀💯
These guys are supposed to have lived a long time and they act like they've never fought multi-player games before, if even two of them worked together at a time they'd just wipe out those beasts.
Why do Marvel have to make them so weak when facing those non powerful creatures. They've been living thousands of years so you would expect them to have that lethal kill power 😓
