If anyone's wondering, I'm 26, live alone and put this together in 2 hours while lazily sitting on the ground for the first half. Watched tv and just enjoyed the build 😊
My new sealy mattress sagged in the middle with that bed + lonset slats, I’m using the lower holes for beam and side rails, I moved the central beam to the middle hole and kept rails on the lowest but now sides are curving downward do you experience that too ?
Hi! For steps 17 and 18 are the side slabs supposed to fit in tight? I can’t seem to get the alen key to turn all the way, there isn’t enough space for the long end of the key to turn 😢 3:36
I think you replied to me but I can't see it here to reply, the problem is the bed head is too high to keep it attached during a move but when you remove it there is no structure in the remaining frame.. So you pull the rest apart only to find that if you didn't use the middle holes for the mattress height you have to also remove the rails to access the big disc fasteners to detach the sides from the ends.
(STEP 30) : Was that middle bar piece a part of the product or is it bought separately, I just put together this bed and had to stop there because there wasn't a middle bracket.
SKORVA Centre Support Beam (www.ikea.com/us/en/p/skorva-center-support-beam-galvanized-90124534/) is sold separately. The part is the top one in video at 0:12.
Hi! This video is posted 11 months ago, may I ask for a review or any thoughts about this bed frame? Thinking to buy one for my apartment and a couple might rent the room.
Where did you encounter the problem? I think, once the plank disconnected/removed, you should be able to pull the ring out and push in again aligned per the arrow's direction.
Hello! Just bought this Songesand bed and it didn’t come with a bed frame I’ve searched Ikea for the Luröy bed base and there biggest is 90x200cm should I buy two?
Yes, that is bought separately. Please check for the SKORVA part info at 0:12. Here is the link at IKEA: www.ikea.com/us/en/p/skorva-center-support-beam-galvanized-90124534
I own the bed now for the 3rd month and I can only say that so far I have not experienced any issues or noise. Very glad I bought this bed, and the mattress too. 3 month maybe isn't long enough period, though. If the bed develops any issues I might document them here, even with a possibly separate video.
Can you please take a close-up picture of the side-board head and the vertical board (foot-side or head-side) and share somewhere. Maybe, that way we could see where the problem is.
Same issue. The screws won't dig in and I am using the correct screws. I think only one thread went in. I haven't started using the bed yet because they missed the bedbase while delivering it. I am gonna get it tomorrow.
That's my biggest fear too. We have an IKEA Slattum and it is a nightmare for noise, I can't move without waking my wife up and vice versa. I've tightened all the screws, I've taken it apart and put it back together again, I've used lubricant on the screws, I've inserted nylon washers, I've put stuffing to close the gaps, I've used rubber protectors on the bed legs, nothing stops this monstrosity from squeaking and creaking. My wife wants to change it out for this bed, but I'm so worried that this one will be squeaky too.
Per the "My IKEA Bedroom" site: "In addition to the bed frame, a mid-beam has been added to provide additional support while the product is in use. Considering that different types of mattresses can be used with this product, the mid beam has been fortified to support the weight of all users regardless of the type of mattress that will be placed on the bed frame. The fortified mid beam is made from galvanized steel. The choice of a center support beam is necessary to give all users a better experience with the product." Hice el ensamblaje completo solo en aproximadamente 3.5 horas. Si puede conseguir la ayuda de una segunda persona, el montaje se puede realizar en menos de 3 horas.
You should be able to use either. They both fit the same frame, while Lönset was twice as pricey. In the long term its higher price might be justified. I don't see problems with Luröy though and its price suited me better.
@@Armuino Ok thanks. I search on their website(canadian) and it seems Ikea doesnt offer warranty on bed base? Does it seems really stable and durable? Example seems there is no pole in the middle, under the base to support the weight... Also somebody wrote somewhere it was sweaking...
@@micduf26 You are correct, there is no pole under the base. But since the base in the middle is an expandable bar that I consider well engineered for the rigidity, it should do. I can't comment about the squeaking with Luröy as haven't experienced that, but the Lönset with rubber edges can claim to prevent that, I guess. The bed and the mattress is less than a month old, and so far felt as worth the money spent.
