RU-vid's algorithm recommended me this video. I am not disappointed at all. I now want to start a grow cabinet like this in our living room. Just need to float it past my wife... Haha
I also have a mini fountain on my fireplace (livingroom) for humidity. I add more water to it every day because the fireplace is hot/warm during wintertime 24/7 and the warm water evaporates faster. I must wash the whole fountain every week (because of the slime). I have a real household humidifier in our livingroom also, and it boils the water constantly, and evaporates it, so it's safe (no bacteria in the water etc.). Air is dry because of the heating during wintertime, so I use these things, they are keeping the humidity just over 40%.
This is great! I have cats who love eating plants so I have to keep them secluded in one room where no one sees them. I’d love to decorate my home with more plants!

Wow this is the best set up I have seen yet for the Milsbo cabinet. I saved it in my favorites because I plan on duplicating it someday in the near future. I already told my husband that's what I want for my next special occasion gift. The only change I would make is to drill a hole in the bottom of the cabinet for the light fixture plug to pass through otherwise it's perfect. I absolutely love the waterfall idea. I would like to find one that recycles the water so you don't have to refill it.
I have an old FABRIKÖR laying around in my moms basement that would be perfect for this! I've never been good at keeping plants that like humidity, but with something like this; maybe I could finally get that tacca chantrieri ✨

This is awesome omg ! I live Texas so winter is not a big deal but I am thinking about this for my “extra plants” lol the rare more special plants ! Maybe even some rare succulents although Im not sure how great they would do in something like this... I would love to hear an answer about the cost of this, energy wise
Meant to mention I live in the PNW and trying to figure out how to “encourage” my plants (haven’t done well in the past🤦🏻♀️). You give me hope as well as astounding ideas! Shhh, don’t tell my husband!

That little fountain is C U T EEEEE cute. Also I haven't been to Mexico before so I wouldnt know what it smells like xD you're right by the way orchids prefer to absorb their nutrients foliarly (through their foliage)

Really nice vid, thanks a lot for the tips. I already watched it like a month ago and found it cool, but recently I started acquiring rarer anthuriums, alocasias and philodendrons. And winter is coming, which means humidity is gonna dive like crazy (atm I barely have my humidifier running and we're always above 60% just because it rains all the time lol). At first I thought I would buy a few terrariums for my more fragile plants (such as my nepenthes that, yes, are growing absolutely fine in open space on my kitchen table, lots of new traps, i'm so happy lol). But then this cabinet is like a huge a terrarium for the price of like, a smaller regular one. So yeah, think I'm gonna inspire a lot from what you did (that skadis line of accessories sounds like a very good and practical idea lol) and have such a cabinet in my living room. I already have pruchased a nice fountain that I planned on putting in the terrarium to increase humidity without a humidifier, so seeing that this work very well for you just comfort me in that idea haha. Alright gotta watch your other stuff now lol

@@PlanteriorDecorator Well it's this humid because we have kind of a micro-climate in my city, because it is situated in a "bowl" or "basin" not sure what word is best in english, but yeah it makes all extremes... well more extreme lol. In summer it gets very hot and dry, no air. In autumn very humid, and in winter very, very cold (even if less so the last few years I must confess). No I don't live in Borneo lol, but East of France next to the German border x). Well, i'll probably buy the Milsbo this upcoming month and then start filling it up, wouldn't mind sharing what I come up with but I don't have an IG account yet, I feel like maybe I should start one cause it seems to be a place where lots and lots of plant enthusiast dwell and share tips, even plants and whatnot. But anyway i'll find another way to send you a pic if i'm lazy to get into IG haha. Thanks again for the great vid with so many details and tips, just watched your "wide" milsbo edition and the Velcro advice sounds really on point and amazon.fr even has the same product available for once haha.
Wow it sounds like a really cool spot for a town though - are you near mountains then? I am in the prairies 😑 definitely dry and not ideal for plants! Haha I need all the bells and whistles I can get 😆 I do love instagram for all of the plants 😍 some people just find the most beautiful things! Awesome video but real quick both blue and red light both work well with growing. The problem with blue is the efficiency is so good that it will produce smaller leaves. Might work well to keep new growth smaller if you lack space, but for the prettier leaf plants, keep with red to keep up leaf size. I have a variagated plant that losses it pink hues when I use too much blue. The more light I give it the less pink, so blues efficiency is giving it more light then I want. Just be careful with added red as it adds more heat (similar to heating lamps that also project red light)

@@PlanteriorDecorator I could have mentioned your flawless skin, shiny hair and perfect brows as well, but I did not want to be superficial 😂 Plus, you have the BEST sense of decorating and arranging in a greenhouse cabinet I have seen so far! (and believe me I have seen many, I follow the Instagram account @ikeagreenhousecabinet, too) I prefer Milsbö & detolf over Fabrikör anyway, way more simplistic and elegant.
Do you anticipate any issues with the wood and humidity? I've just bought some wood cabinets second-hand and I'm concerned about the unsealed wood sucking up moisture and warping/rotting. Thanks for your video! So many good ideas 🥰
love the cabinet but the fans are super anoying to me they look ok but are way to loud. Dont know wich normal fans would be more silent. I would just put some pc fans in their XD maybe some noctua super silent on lower rpm but horrible optic :-P

I check them every couple days and water any that are feeling a little dry! Some of the smaller pots dry out quicker than others so they are all kind of on a different schedule! 🌿

I have rewatched this video about 10 times, waffling that I don't need an indoor greenhouse, but yours is SO PRETTY. Just showed a pic to my husband a bit ago and he was all, "go for it." So now I'm ordering. Of course, our closest IKEA is out of Milsbo right now, but I'll grab one as soon as they're back in stock. LOL However, you have in the links that you used Command strips for the lights...Really??? That terrifies me that they will drop and shatter. Can you tell me specifically the steps you did to make sure they stay up given the humidity and warmth? I used a command hook for my robe one time, a large one that was supposed to hold 60 pounds, and it tore off my wall just with the weight of my robe, so I'm not hugely confident. LOL Love your set up and inspiration. Congrats on your channel taking off so quickly. :)
