I took quite a few classes in the O'Hara School some years ago. And I find that so much of what I learned then has carried over to my gardening and pruning! And I love this modern style. I must try to find some classes again!
This style is 100s of years old. All young girls ŕrom traditional families start to learn this at 13 in the old days. It is a traditipnal.art.fprm that is greatly valued in Japan as ae.mny many hand crafts. In the US, the appreciation is hard to find. People just don't value them enough t pay for it thus we tend to loose alot of artistic trades. I am a florist and a certified ikebana designer. I get to do very little "real" ikebana designs.

Seneng ngembangkan mengasah kreativitas....ngingetkan dulu kerja ngisolasi window display,hot spot display,warldrop display di Mark & Spencer ....yg mana nyeimbangkan wall paper lighting,dengan produk yang akan didisplay sesuai dengan season yang di arahkan atasan.....karna sebelum louncing tidak boleh ada yg liat foto karna dilindungi hak cipta...butuh ketelitian dan keuletan.
Dia mengunakan alat yg bentuknya seperti sikat dari metal dan paku dan bunganya ditancapkan dipaku itu.seperti penyulap yg tidur diatas paku.seperti itu bentukannya.Dulu penata bunga memakai alat itu tapi sekarang diganti dengan moss. Mudah2an membantu.
