Latest Beta images of all confirmed flyable desert war aircraft, coming to the highly anticipated expansion to IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz.
Not all aircraft shown are complete, with cockpits, external components, special effects and sounds to be finalised by release.
At the end of the video, we have included a full list of all flyable aircraft, including all variants, available in both IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz, which you will need to own in order to play the expansion, along with the outstanding channel and desert war types and variants.
Let us know which of the new aircraft will be the first you will fly when the game is released!

Ah, it smells like these thrilling good old CloD-Times when a wild bunch of guys made a diamond out of a total messed up simulation. This one is a completly new level. An incredible work. I can't wait!

i‘ve been with IL-2 since the first days, what a magical time! it was when cliffs of dover finally came out and was a complete feckin waste after so many years of anticipation i was disappointed beyond words and also life happened and i just never touched the joystick again. this though makes me want to build a new one and get the feck goin again 😍

We tend to underestimate the number of casualties the luftwaffe took during the Battle of France... Vichy French aircraft (and some Free French aircraft) served in North Africa and Italy as well... but we tend to forget those theatres... less of an American presence perhaps, but also the fact that we are forgetting generally.

@@derbaerfm Its a package deal for me. No modern sims have a place for her yet. In BoX the Pacific is unrepresented. In dcs she's be duking it out with Kurfursts n Dora's. I guess I could go play Aces High early war server, but I'd rather not pay 15$/month to fly in an empty early war arena. This will be Wildcats in the rough, facing off against mostly comparable aircraft. Wildkitty gonna remind people she may not have been one to one with Zeroes but that doesnt mean she ain't beyond dangerous if you fly your silly Fritzscherschimdt like a donkey. Navy game stronk.

This is amazing! Now I can imagine a multiplayer night fighting event with player-flown Wellingtons and Blenheims vs player-flown Ju-88s and Bf-110s. It would be a great game of cat and mouse!

It's not a gunsight, it's actually a coffee percolator. The French believed that their pilots should have every comfort in the cockpit.

I would like to congratulate each one of the participants of this simulator, it is really a perfectionist job and many new planes, it is excellent news to relax us from this world! I look forward to flying this simulator! I reiterate the suggestion to open a space, a folder for modders to have the limited possibility to contribute sounds, effects, would increase the popularity even more.

comparing a DCS module to an IL-2 module is dumb, they aim to achieve very different things. A good comparison would be flaming cliffs and il-2, those are very similar. Meanwhile full DCS modules are painstakingly crafted over years to be a digital replica in all functions from ground startup to takeoff, navigation, combat, landing and shutdown.

@@schmiddy8433 and take 5 years to leave early access. If ever lol also they arent even truly accurate simulations even then. Put a pilot of the actual plane in the dcs sim and watch them say this is different this is different this is different and on and on. And theyre the 'finished' modules

Superb, can’t wait! Hopefully it is a great success, and over time you can add more variants used such as Boston, Baltimore, Maryland, SM79, P-36/H75, ect! Magnificent job though, and I will be grabbing it as soon as possible. Thanks for sticking with it.

I can't wait to fly training missions in the Superb Tiger Moth, ground support sorties with the Hurricane , combat air patrol with the Marlet over the vast sands ... And to fly high octane intercept sorties across the beautiful ancient deserts with my favorite aircraft of all time, the Spitfire MK V (chinless)

When they obtained official sanction to work on this, it included that Tobruk would be an official product sold by the publisher. So we will pay (and hopefully doing so will fund further development)

great job, I will buy it on day one! I wanted to know ... will it be possible to use the Fiat G50 and the BR 20M in the new map in the quick missions for example with their marks? Because currently the game does not allow me to use the Italian marks on these two planes but I am forced to play them with the German marks ... I don't know why, I don't know if it's a bug.... thanks if you find time to answer me

What other Italian aircraft were numerically important in this period? The MC200 and the Trimotor bombers seem important as do the Caproni 309\310\311... are there any others? I'm curious.

J WG I recall them saying that the MC 200 was only marginally better than the existing G.50 in the game, so they went for the MC 202 as more people would like it than the MC 200; they also said that the SM.79 would be too large to complete for 5.0 and hope to include it in the future. I really want to see some more Italian planes in future modules.

@@EpicJoshua314 Interesting! That makes a lot of sense from a design perspective. It would seem to be the next logical Italian fighter (if they do any more). I thought a Ca.310 would be an interesting counterpart to the Blenheim (and they were produced in large numbers)... so that'd be my pick after those two. :)

@@EpicJoshua314 italian aircraft numerically oft were more important than germans, even if british pilots wery oft mistaked them for germans (expecially the Mc202). There are several version of Ju88 but .. SM79? The Mc200 was much more used than the G50 on African front, and was considered better then the Fiat.

Yeah, maybe - I think I'd still prefer the european theatre and looking forward to game engine improvements in that regard. This will be interesting to try though; hjopefully the desert environment wont be too bland.. Time will tell :)
