Without doubt this is the finest most detailed warship model ever built, I doubt if it could ever be bettered, the photo's are incredible, because the ship detail is that fine it deceives the eye, the photo's look as if it's the real thing. The only thing wrong with the video is the music, it should have been ' Mussi Denn' which is what the Kriegsmarine band played at the quayside as she weighed anchor and left Kiel for the last time. IMO Bismarck was the most beautiful battleship ever built and this model does it justice.
Without doubt the best model I have ever ever seen !!- unbelievable !!. How can anyone give a thumbs down to such an exquisite model. So accurate in every detail. Impressed !!
I am currently building a 1/200 model of the Bismarck that I thought was large enough to show considerable detail at just over 4 ft. However this 1/72 scale model which is almost three times the size just blows me away in exquisite detail. The builder had done some superb research in order to produce a museum quality model. I would hate to put it on the water.
As a German of 72 years, I am convinced that only Hitler and his officers were proud of these behemoths. The encounter of HOOD and BISMARCK alone cost 4000 lives. How could I ever be proud of these weapons of mass murder?
BRAvO - Questo è un ottimo modello - “Labor of Love “ indeed and it’s functions model not static display. Superb ! Congratulations! Attention to the details is amazing. Gentlemen I am tipping my hat off to you - the best Bismarck ever. Is this model a club build ?
awesome i have never seen a model like this so detailed and to me it look so real. i would like a model if it has working cannons even better.and i am German so even better. Always loved WWII and like these huge modes. if only someone made one with rc B-17 dropping a real bomb and ship wars
The Bismark was a great ship that wreaked havoc on the English. With better planning, more damage could have been inflicted, but the English were able to prevail and end the run of the Bismark. Which is a good thing actually!
Bismarck’s operational life amounted to only about one week, a bit like the Titanic, so in conclusion the fame goes to ships that were disastrously unsuccessful. However this model is undoubtedly one of the very best. Congratulations to the builder.
Bismarck in 1/72 scale is my next project. But let me ask you one question please. Why did you combine the baltic camo with the yellow turrets? Is there a reason? You surely know that this yellow painting is based on the statement of just one survivor (Mr. Maus) and that this paintig started just before the final battle when there was no more baltic camo on hull and superstructure. But in general, you built a fantastic model. Congratulations and applause!
Awesome in every detail! The battleship was an incredible machine and superbly designed. Hitler should have made 10 of these. Sadly it was short-lived. The British had a better navy and were ready for the kill. She died gallantly and fought to the bitter end. The Germans failed to provide protection and support for her on that fateful day. She was basically a sitting duck out in the ocean.
