Our Ilford Delta 3200 film review combines the community's comments, recommendations, sample images and feedback to give you an excellent overview of Delta 3200's strengths and weaknesses!
Ilford Delta 3200 is a high speed, fine grain film with excellent contrast. This panchromatic film is the perfect choice for any difficult available light photography conditions like concerts and underground parties🕺. It uses Ilford's core shell crystal technology; the professional results when you nail the exposure will blow you away.

EDIT Oopsie we got something wrong! Apologies folks but we have been rightly told by some members of the film community that Delta 3200 actually has an ISO speed rating of 1000/31° (1000ASA, 31 DIN) and depending on the developer.
You can see the data sheet with more information here- www.ilfordphoto.com/amfile/fi...
Similarly for Kodak T-MAX 3200, the data sheets state that it is an 800 to 1000 ASA film depending on the developer you use. See the data sheet here: imaging.kodakalaris.com/sites...

It's a very useful film. Not an everyday film although I do like it pulled all the way to 1000 in medium format.

I liked using it in a Diana under available light indoors!!!

It's a nice film especially in 120 where the grain is less intense compared to 35mm

I came to this video to get information about what speeds it can be shot at, but you didn’t really talk about that. Is shooting it at 800 or 1600 ok?

oh yes! It's fine to do that - just let your lab know when you go to develop, as it changes the processing times needed. But yes the film looks great at 800 and 1600 - bit less grain but still very good

Re: airport security. Suggest not to have film in the camera. Had one 20 y.o. security person "hand inspect" my film by opening the back of the camera. Luckily only ruined 3 shots. Some countries require you to click the shutter in front of them. I have many lovely pics of airport carpets/ceiling lights.

maybe you can help. i have this film and post my films off to get developed and my camera (canon t50) only goes to iso 1600. should i ask them to pull one stop or still have it developed at 3200 as some people suggest?

Personally I'd ask them to pull - just so I'm treating it 'fairly'!

Don’t you read the specs sheets before making these videos? Delta 3200 is a 1000-1250 ASA film depending on the developer. Same for TMax p3200 which’s 800-1000 ASA.
